how would you say it would fare blocking out airplane noise ?
yeah id be keen to know this also…
Seems like a discussion I've had here before. Anyway, at the risk of again attracting the attention of audio trolls, these are just excellent headphones for the money. I use them on long haul all the time and the passive noise exclusion is very good, at quite moderate music volumes the typical cabin cacophany just fades out. Highly recommend.
@cornucopia: awesome thanks
@cornucopia: Agreed. At this price point, for what they are, they're great value.
There was this guy on here who used to bag these out big time at every opportunity (usually quoting his own other comments as 'evidence'); I had a listen to a couple of the TDK & Philips models at the same price point he recommended, and there was no comparison, they were just cheap tinny junk.
I've got a pair - not amazing for blocking out noise.
Also a very long cable - I wouldn't say it's a portable headphone set.
The long cable has its uses, in hotel stays where one wants to watch TV and the other wants to sleep. Both can have their way.
Basic in ear earphones (if you don't find them too uncomfy) will do a much better job at blocking out noise.

Not too good for blocking noise. But for this price level it is a very good headphone.
No pickup/stock in Melbourne
$6 standard delivery for Melbourne! :/
Gah, Bing Lee and their "per item" postage. I'd buy a lot more from them if they had some bulk discount (remember the Eneloop rip-off? 16 batteries cost $24 postage).
I guess you can look at the 20% off in effect giving you free (well, 20c!) postage, and at $29.20 they are $6 cheaper than elsewhere ($35 at GG, $39 at HN)
They don't have stores in Melbourne as far as I know, aside from one store in a regional area.
Mine are still going strong from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43013
The vinyl on the earpads is just starting to break down a bit now, but after ~6 years I'm calling it a win! ;)
Arguably the best budget level headphone out there
