It's good to see low cost, simple projects to save power (and money long run) like the free power boards, personally if I got 1 and it seemed good, I'd buy a couple more.

Question: - if a tv loses power, does it lose it's channels and settings?
How about for a PVR HD recorder?
In my experience no, the keep their channels and settings. Of course, some TVs may not.
Not sure on PVRs, but I imagine it'd be the same except (obviously) it can't record when there is no power!

if this is anything like the previous model (which i bought) avoid at all costs. They are very cheaply built and one of the outlets doesn't work and another is about to go caput.
