I went to this last year and it is pretty crappy.

The food is expensive, long queues and not worth it.

Better to go to the restaurants themselves.

Pay for the tickets to go in and pay for food? No thanks.

      • +1

Yep, that's how it works. The food min is like $10 for a small piece.

Very not worth it maybe for those with multiple investment homes with money to burn and to sit and drink alcohol with other like minded people to try and "hook up" on tinder.

  • lol yeah I agree. Nothing against promotix but it always amuses me that you have to pay $20 to have the privilege to purchase overpriced food from a van. People flock to these things and queue up endlessly to order the same crap they could have got form the corresponding normal outlet. Marketing genius really. It's up there with some of the BS 'expos' where you pay to enter what's effectively another shopping centre.

  • It is even worst - you need to buy VIP membership to access this deal which costs $35. Absolutely useless

  • I've not been to the one in Sydney but I've been many times to the ones in Edinburgh and Auckland and of you think like an Ozbargainer it's great value. Go to the whisky tasting session to get 4 free whiskeys and then go round all of the food stalls (not the restaurants) and wineries and get loads of free samples. Through in a few craft beers and a couple of things from the restaurants and you get out of there for far less than a restaurant.

Plus if you go to the last session on Sunday you can bargain with the stalls trying to get rid of everything. I've picked up loads of alcoholic bargains down the years.

The one problem with this bargain is the session days and times though.

  • I was able to get the free VIP. However I've found there's hardly anything going for Sydney, and when there is, the "free" tix sell out instantly. Not to mention the ridiculous booking fee.

there is alot more for Melb I go to alot . I dont mind paying a booking fee of normally $4.95 to get free tickets, they are a business and need to make money somehow ….

      • lol yeah people seem to forget that businesses need to make money. You're right though, there are always more deals for Melbourne. Great during the comedy festival. $4.95 is a small price to pay for a 'freebie'

here's something for you lucky ladies…. or gents
