This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

      Just tried Nox on PC to lock in hampton park and it worked a treat! Had to log out and log back in on phone for the voucher to show up though. Thanks heaps!

    Tried the NOX trick for the first time today. Worked like a charm. Saved `$2 on a full tank of U95.

      No but you can pledge on Patreon using PayPal and then delete your pledge straight after. No need to wait for the 1st day of the month, the transaction is made immediately now.

    At 711 now and it says all gift cards are not accepted due to some system error on the pumps. Seems to be a genuine issue unrelated to price locking

        Have you set up the trigger correctly? You might need to reduce the time, eg. check every 30 minutes.

          a couple options here….

          01) Fill up 2 litres or so, pay with the fuel lock. Lock in new price.
          02) Create another account.

          oh .. i tried a few times 2 cards and it came up with that then too many attempts or something, then while on the phone to call support got an email to say try again in a couple of minutes then it worked

    i've tried 10 times today to firstly locked in the U98 @ WIshart and then Werribee but everytime I tried to lock (Nox) it says enter CVV - i enter and it spews out error code… i tried just any local 7/11 near me using my iOS app, it also threw the "unknown error" at me… no issues with the card, the CVV/info is 110% correct, i checked and rechecked… for the life of me i can't understand what the hell is happening!!

    any ideas OzB brains trust?

    Is anyone else getting "this app is only supported on unmodified versions of ios" on jailbroken iOS devices? It's been working well for months/nothing has been updated then this happened today..

    Just filled at 7/11 Kensington, the shopkeeper insist the app server is still down even though I can access the app today.
    I ask him to just give it a try and he refuse. What a pain!!!

        It wasn't the attendants fault, it seems like the whole system is down and they've been explicitly told not to allow barcodes, it happened to a friend also today.

        It's a real pain because there is no signage saying they aren't allowing it until you get to the checkout. It's head offices fault, not the staff.

      or, you know.. Just do what the t's and c's say when you are unable to use a locked in price due to some technical problem. Pretty simple.
      I've had it once before but didnt bother due it being only a couple of bucks (and didnt feel like raising attention to my often fast out-of-the-blue holiday trips to locations that strangely coincided with the cheapest 7-11 with fuel)

      threatening not to pay etc just seems childish when their terms clearly cover this if you want to claim it

      WHAT IF THERE IS A TECHNICAL PROBLEM AT THE TIME OF REDEMPTION?
      - In rare cases, 7-Eleven may not be able to redeem your Fuel Price Lock Voucher at the time you wish to make your fuel purchase. If this happens, and you have already dispensed the fuel, you must purchase the fuel at the standard pump price and finalise payment at that price. We will credit the difference in accordance with this clause 6.
      - You will be issued with a store transaction receipt for proof of purchase
      - In the settings menu of the App you can find contact details for the 7-Eleven Customer Service
      - Email your receipt and a screen shot of your Fuel price Lock voucher and/or the unique 13 alpha numeric barcode to 7-Eleven Customer Service [email protected]
      - Your Fuel Price Lock voucher discount will be promptly credited to the Card associated with the App.

        I've done it before and have gotten a refund of the difference. Once they even gave me an extra $5 credit for my troubles.
