      A test fitting on your vehicle. We will use your vehicle to develop a new roof rack fitment.

      I'm trying to work out whether the payoff for them here is marketing or R&D…or both???

      Maybe I just need more coffee or something…but if I'm using my own effort, time & vehicle for their research, I'd want the product for free at the very least.

  We had this done on our car last time they offered this. In & out within 30mins and cheap roof racks which we were shopping for at the time….though free would have been better!!

  My car is on the list, but the original price of the roof rack is $317, so it is hopefully going to be the full 70% off if I'm going to head out there from Penrith

    I don't think that is a unique feature of the NSW government, it seems to come with the breed.
    It is a mystery why for any problem some twit will say "the government must do something!" Maybe for something different they should trying doing something themselves.

    But I digress with that little rant. My car is on the list for a "test fit" but unfortunately I am not a Mexican living south of the border.

  I wonder if That means the wholesale price of the racks is only 30% of retail? And the wholesale of pioneer systems is 50%?

    Sure, the fitting service and other business costs might be appreciable but the actual costs of the racks - some aluminium extrusion and a few brackets for $300+ - I'd guess a markup near a thousand percent.
