Just spotted this at Woolworths Burwood Westfield NSW.

I would imagine this is Nationwide because it's listed on Woolworths online as well.

Personally I find there's a slight difference between the 100m and 50m, with the 50m one being slightly more grippy.

For anyone that is visiting Asia (e.g. Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China), I personally would actually recommend Watson's own brand of dental floss which is the best I've used so far. Watson's is similar to Priceline. I haven't found an equivalent in Australia yet. It's also actually slightly cheaper (using the Malaysia retail price of RM7.50 for 50m).

    • Where is "there"? lol

        Plenty in Hong Kong

        • You'd hope so. Pretty sure that's its home base.

    • seriously recommend trying colgate tartar control

Thanks OP, good for flossing my…   bill.

  • Oh man, TAPE is where its at! You haven't lived until you have slid a piece of tape floss between your teeth instead of shoving the boulder like normal floss through your gaps!

Ironically the best thing to slice iced cake with 🍰

I'll post this as a comment rather than part of the description as I feel it kind of detracts from the main deal too much

List of overseas locations with Watson's:

    • Hong Kong
    • Indonesia
    • Malaysia
    • Singapore
    • Taiwan
    • China
    • Korea
    • Macau
    • Philippines
    • Thailand
    • Turkey
    • Ukraine

Note that it seems the dental floss I was recommending is not available in every Watson's! Can't find it on the Watson's Ukraine website, for example.

    • I went to buy 4x 50m Watson's (coincidentally I'm currently in Malaysia). They scanned at RM7.50 ea. RM5.30 is actually for the 10m. So the same length Oral B on sale would be around $0.20 cheaper!

      • Oh god I'm so sorry. I didn't see the length. It looks like they've changed their designs of the 50m so I didn't recognise it. The 10m one has retained the old design (which looks much better imo)

Did you still buy it? Hope you like it at least.. I'd still buy it at RM7.30 over the Oral B one :P

        • Yeah I did get it.. Still cheap. Will try the floss tonight (much needed after all the scrumptious food here). My usual is Oral B so will write a mini review after.

@rictee: Ok compared to the Oral B Essentials, I think the Watsons were able to clean better and have a nicer flossing feel which I can't quite explain.
I have tried the Colgate ones but did not like them as they were too wide and seemed harder to maneuver - that's why I've been using Oral B. Now to me, Watsons has a good size and feel.
Oh and they're on the cheaper end too which may add to my positive impressions.

Disclaimer: I have only tried a few products (above) and these comments are based on my personal experience only.

        • @rictee:

Sounds like a positive experience. I can't quite tell if you have a preference between Oral B and Watson's, but can tell you prefer both of them to Colgate though.

I hope Watson's didn't also change their product with the change in packaging.

  • Just wondering, is the Watson floss unwaxed? They discontinued Oral B unwaxed floss here; nowadays all Oral B floss are waxed.

    • I'm actually not sure… I don't think it is though? I'd guess waxed would look shinier?

      • Well, the Oral B unwaxed, and waxed look about the same. But the waxed one is more smooth and slippery. Whereas the unwaxed one provides more friction against the tooth during flossing.

I will get a Watson one to try at the next opportunity. Thanks for mentioning it.

  • Oral-B Glide Pro-Health® Deep Clean Mint Floss is the ticket…Only in Chem Warehouse now

  • Anyone recommend a thick waxed floss? Best one I've found so far is Woolworths brand (with fluoride), slides through really silky but my local doesn't stock it anymore.

  • How does the Oral B Dental Floss compare to Colgate Total Waxed Dental Floss?

I posted some comments on these 2 a little bit above.

Haha! I stock up with Watson's floss everytime I'm back in Malaysia :)

Which is in three weeks.. I've almost run out!

  • I prefer dental floss sticks.. I'm not sure what they are called, but as I could remember I bought a packet of them for about $2 from Reject Shop which is about half the price of Woolies

    • interdental brush? $2 is cheap.

    • Tried them before. They are rough. I scare I'll damage my teeth.

  • Such flossing. Much minted wax! Wow.

  • The Satin one is my favorite because it's wider and removes more (grossssss)stuff between your teeth.

  • I like satin the best. Regular floss hurts when coiled around your finger. It's like trying to cut your finger off.

I bought 6 last time and still have a few, so I don't need any this time around.
