Half Price Oral B Dental Floss from $1.99, Cadbury 350g Dairy Milk Choc Block $3.15 @ Woolworths

630

I rarely see Dental floss on special. This is the time when i stock up on Dental floss for a good few months until next special

I would recommend the Satin Tape Floss.

And as my dentist always tells me: Floss the teeth you want to keep

You also cant say no to a massive Cadbury 350G Chocolate Block

Enjoy.

I prefer aim floss from chemist warehouse to oral b. 120 yards (109.7m) $1.99 regular price. a bit thicker, and feels like it does a better job.

    • A lot of people who had braces can't use thick floss due to the gaps between teeth being too small. The thin Oral B floss is the only one I can use without almost ripping my teeth out.

Thanks OP, I've never seen this on sale before in the past few years.

Oral B Floss tends to splay (unless they have updated)

I would recommend Reach Floss, Colgate, or Woolworths brand

    • Nope they still splay. Mind you I get the cheap thin one.

        Get the Satin Tape Floss

I find it clears the food better and only needs one pass between teeth

  • There is also 50% off on Arnott's Tim Tam Chocolate Chocolicious Bites ($2.19 Save $2.20).

Lol, floss and chocolate in the same heading.

    • Indeed
      +1 from me

  • Woolworths brand floss is the cheapest and the best. I'm very surprised that aldi doesn't sell floss.

    • They do as a special buy at least once a year.

    • I came here to say the same thing. Woolworths' own floss "feels" like it's the best, though that subjective feeling may mean nothing and may in fact be causing more harm than good to my gums and teeth for all I know. Satin floss makes me feel like I'm "trying to clean dirty dishes with a silk cloth".

When I used to "splurge" on J&J's various Reach incarnations I spent a lot of time removing shredded floss from between my teeth with more floss. I suppose those minty shreds kept my breath fresh…

Speaking of floss, we've been told for years not to reuse the same length of floss between molars since that would transfer bacteria between them. But then what gives individual floss picks magical rinsing powers? And if a tooth brush can be washed, air-dried and reused, why can't sturdy non-shredding floss be invented with the same reusable properties.

I suppose I could look into those water flossers…

      • just to add my +1 to what's been said. Woolworths floss is the best I've tried to date.

I use the one from Kmart "expanding dental floss", when you use it it starts to fluff up and expand. $3 or $3.50 /100m everyday. When I first started using it I thought it was crap but it actually picks up a lot of stuff

  • Great price on Oral B floss. As you said, rarely see it on special let alone half price!

Haven't tried the brands recommended by the rest of you, but have tried Oral B (50m - circular one, and 100m, the thin and tallish one). I find it ok, but only ok. I think I've tried the Satin one too but I don't remember how it was.

Best floss I've found is sold in Watsons Asia (Malaysia/Taiwan/Hong Kong, probably China too). The shape of the floss is sort of cylindrical (is that how you describe it? like a tube). It is quite thick, and I have previously had braces, but I find it absolutely amazing. I feel like the thickness and whatever the material is is sticky, such that it "drags" out more gunk than something like Oral B.

If anyone knows anything similar in Aus, please share! :D

    • I am not sure if I have used the same type of Watson's, however, I did use Watson brand once and it was terrible. It broke and didn't clean well at all. Maybe they have several types of floss and I got the cheapie.

    • P.s. I ended up chucking out my Watson's floss.

  • I used to be a chocoholic, until I read this article (Chocolate & Chocolate Liquor - Adulteration with Insect and Rodent Filth)According to ABC News, the average chocolate bar contains eight insect pieces! (Ewwww!) And it gets worse: They say that people who are allergic to chocolate generally aren't reacting to the cocoa, they're reacting to then ground-up cockroach and other insects that have invaded their chocolate.
