  • will it work for people that have done it last time. will you get the points. ie uninstall delink and do it again?

Surely you're kinda grasping at straws with this one?
It's a dupe from 6 months ago and it's pretty obviously part of the QantasAssure deal that YadaYadaYada posted up earlier today, where you've cherrypicked thefreelunchs comment from?
Only difference from the previous post was that it was iOS only back then - but you haven't even mentioned that here.

Looks like you're just posting a deal for the sake of posting a deal.

      so why are you upset

      • +1

I don't think anyone is upset.
I'm just pointing out that I think this is a bullsh!t 'deal' that you are just posting up for some sort of delusional crusade for upvotes and internet approval.

You even upvoted your own deal.. lol… and I wouldn't be surprised if it was you who downvoted my original comment too.

Just pointless crap that adds no value to the site and only servers to clutter it and potentially detract from the genuinely good deals that people have put the effort in to posting up.

Deal gets upvoted automatically by the system

          I did not sir

Lets say you had 50000 QFF points due to expire in a month, don't you think this deal would be useful to you to avoid expiration.

that you are just posting up for some sort of delusional crusade for upvotes and internet approval.

Its the ozbargain fever my friend

        • If it upsets you so much when others contribute, perhaps ozbargain is not for you. Just sayin. Keep smiling and have a great day!

    • FYI, Deniver

      • The older deal is older than 6 months and per our deal posting guidelines is acceptable.

      • Everyone who posts a deal except for reps automatically puts a +1 vote for the deal.

      • You can block posts by easternculture (or any user) or a domain like Qantasassure.

      help

Let's try to be civil to each other. This should be about the deal and not the poster.

      • Hi "neil" (see, not that hard to get people's usernames right..:)

This exact post has been posted up 3 times in 6 months now, including this one.
As you said, one is over 6 months old but one is 5 months and 9 days old… ie. a dupe.
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/259020

And I have no interest in hiding easternculture's posts, he posts up some genuinely good stuff that I'm sure I have availed of before.
But I'm just calling a spade a spade on this particular post.

I reserve blocking posts for the likes of jv.. :)

        • Apologies for getting your name wrong, I was thinking of Denver which I visited once unintentionally (nice place).

          Also per the guidelines:

The original deal is older than one month, and was expired or sold out between then and now.

So the history is that the deal was for iOS and then they later released an Android app. This post covers both. Keep in mind that not everyone knows about all the deals.

          I had a chuckle at that. :)

There's seemingly a guideline in place to defend even the most nonsensical of things in here. ;)

Great deal for encouraging an active lifestyle and avoiding OzBargain Drama.

    150 QFF Points = 85 cents

    • +2

      150QFF points = $1 using 1500pts = $10 Woolies gift card valuation

.. but wait for the people who say "but points are better spent on Business/First class tickets/upgrades!!"

  • app keeps crashing on me, anyone experiencing this?

    • Crashes for me also. Galaxy S7 Edge

      • boo im a note4. i got a notification saying qantas has awarded me points. but when i load up the app. it crashes lol.

    • Same on a nexus 5x

Edit: works ok now a few hours after installing

      • sweet, yeah its working for me too :D

  • Connect your fitness trackers to score extra pts.

  • Thanks, I need an extension, my Qantas boycott for previous fraudulent point losses is a vicious circle!

    EDIT:

During the Qantas Assure Wellness Rewards 28-Day Trial, App users will earn Qantas Points without having to purchase an Eligible Qantas Assure Product. Qantas Points earned during this trial will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account on a fortnightly basis.

So in addition to the 150 link-points you can earn points for a month by moving around?… I'll get some saddlebags for the dog then ;)

EDIT2: Aw man, I have to install another app (Google Fit) just to use this app?!

    • EDIT3: woo, it says I got the 150 points :)

Still not sure if points I earn in the 28 days are mine or "locked" until I buy insurance. Nor how many my dog I mean I can earn total…
