This was an audio ad at the beginning of a podcast, so I have linked to the podcast here.

$15 off your first UberEATS order with the coupon code "EATPOD". Presume it would be Australia wide, considering it is an Aussie podcast. Valid until 31/01/2017.

Similar to the below deal, which has apparently expired:

Literally just ordered with no code.
    Thanks, will use next time

    • +2

      Says first time

    EATPOO?!

    Well then… That's going a bit far!

    • +1

Looks like some people don't find poo jokes funny.

  • -1

How likely will they offer better deals in the future for first time customers (like Uber/Taxi)? Thinking about signing up now but if there is a $20/25/30 in the next few months will hold off…

    • +1

      See my comment below.

      • OK thanks!

  • -4

do they still only accept coupons through the app? because I can't use the app on my iphone 4 OR my android tablet or phone both of which are only android 4.2, which rules them out for me. So ridiculous

    • -2

don't understand why I'm being downvoted - is this not the case? cos it looks like it is. Or do you downvoters just disagree with my opinion that it's silly that there's no app support for lower IOS/android users? And/or that they can't just allow these codes to be applied on the website. Gee sorry that I'm too poor to have a newer phone.

  • +6

Other codes get you $25 off first order. Works for both Uber and Uber-Eats.

Now… when will I find a discount code for my 2nd order?

    • +1

Damn… i didnt know it workd for ubereats

    • Nice one.

    • do these stack with another users referral codes like the previous promotion did?

      • tried myself, and no it does not stack - still good & a better code to use than the OPs one

        • What happened when you tried to stack it?

        • +1

          @King Tightarse:
Just said I had already applied an intro code or something like that

  • +4

If only they operated outside the city and inner-city suburbs.

    • I'm a stones throw from their inclusion zone, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby… So bloody annoying. I wonder why they have a static UberEats zone… Wouldn't it be smarter to calculate it as X distance from participating restaurants?!

Good luck with this service. I'll stick with foodora and such. I've found uber eats the most careless of all the delivery services I've tried. The pizza toppings on my pizza came out all slid to one side, and when I called the restaurant to tell them, they said that they saw the driver slot the pizza into the bag at a steep angle rather than keeping it horizontal. I've never had that issue with other delivery services in Sydney. I blame the low quality of "contractors" employed by uber eats.

    • +2

agreed. and my delivery driver couldn't find my apartment, misread my address and then yelled at me and served me a raw fish salad (salmon poke) which was then warm. however for $25 off I would use them !

      • +2

        He YELLED at you?
That is completely unacceptable. I hope you reported them.

        • +2

yeah I did. just got $10 credit for next order…

    • +4

I know its only one experience and I'm sure others have different ones, but I tried UberEats once and it was enough to expose so many flaws in their process.

I ordered pizzas using the app, and had nothing but issues.

The drivers apparently don't deliver to apartments, only front entrance, and had called me when outside. I missed the call, but UberEats don't use mobile numbers so you cannot call them back. The call comes from a landline number in Queensland (no idea why, i wouldn't t normally answer unknown calls anyway) so when i called back it wouldn't connect. So no way to contact driver unless they call you again - it was so frustrating.

I tried the UberEats customer service number continually for about 40 minutes (connected, rang for about 30 seconds and disconnected me), their online "help" (never got a reply) and also the restaurant itself (who cannot contact uber or driver, and didn't have my details).

Around 1.5 hours later when it hadn't arrived and i was starving, i went for a walk to find something else - and i found my (cold) food placed on a garden wall near my apartment building entrance! I'm in Sydney (restaurant was about 5 minutes drive) and have plenty of visitor parking out front of my building, so there was no excuse in terms of distance or availability of space to stop.

I won't use again. Total mess of a service. I have complained and heard nothing back.

So how does this ubereat work? They pick me up and have food in the car for me to eat?

    • +1

it's a food delivery service - they bring the food to you. You don't get in and drive away with them.

    • +13

No. They pick you up and you eat their car.

  • -6

Unfortunately have to neg… as posted in this thread is a better code (westpac25 - $25 off) so negging will raise awareness that there's a better deal to be had for new users.

    • Are you for real?

      • -4

umm… are you serious? if you're a new ubereats user and you look at this thread.. you will probably put in the code for this deal and get $15… that's nice… why wouldn't you want to use the $25 code instead?????

    • -1

any sort of explanation as to why people are -ve voting my comment?

Use EATPOD code and you'll only get $15 off

      Use westpac25 code and you'll get $25 off instead…

      • +1

Link to the deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/250518 which also has yet to be updated to say it works with Uber Eats.

I don't believe WESTPAC25 works for Uber customers who have not used Eats yet.

        • -3

Ah so you're saying that westpac25 might not work for users who are uber customers but haven't used UberEATS yet, but eatpod will?

        • @colblair: westpac25 didnt work for me but eatpod did. source: existing uber user first time eats user

        • +1

          @lolmao:
No problem - I have tried it and it did work, as did others I work with. But maybe it's only working for certain people? I dont know… oh well.

  • Anyone know which episode this was in? Thx
