and does the 4th Jan "end date" mean its still valid tomorrow? or finishes tonight?
Valid until the 4th so expires at close of business on the 4th (in store when the store closes and online I assume expires at midnight for the 4th on the cusp of the 5th) as per usual with all catalogues.

Same price at TGG but with Marella jug.
For a saving of $5.60 you lose two filters but gain a jug. If we take the filters to be worth $6.77. You are effectively paying $7.87 for the jug, which imo is a better deal than buying 6 cartridges. The jug's RRP is $35. Currently $24 at Target and about the same at DJ.
Not all jugs are equal. I've had a few and the one I've got currently is the best all round. Taking it out of the door isn't a hassle, the lid only comes off when I want it to, it pours well and it has a good feel to the handle. For me a new jug vs extra cartridges for my current jug is a no brainer. I'm sure there are others that don't want a new jug either.

I have one jug in the fridge door. The second I keep outside and use for my coffee machine. Since the coffee machine will heat up the water, it doesn't need to be refridgerated. And the filtered water keeps the coffee machine free of limescale so you don't need descaling.
To me a jug is worth more than 1.16 filters. I can give it to someone who doesn't have one, if I don't need one.
The 4 included will last you 8 months. In that time you can find better deals for your next filters. Some groupon deals which keep popping up, you can throw away the jug entirely, and the cartridges you get are still cheaper than $6.77 each.
Marella jug sold by TGG is much better than Navelia
I can tell by Navelia's shape that it's going to slide around inside the fridge. My Marella fits the door perfectly.
