I've had one for about 6 years. Usually leaks some oil over time but I just make sure it's topped up when I need to use it.
I've been using this jack for 3+ years. Never had a problem. It's a basic jack suitable for small cars that aren't lowered, and for basic maintenance tasks like changing oil or tyres

I just want a garage work light, for working on the bikes or doing odd jobs.
Preferably on a stand or something that can be moved around to direct where I am working…..not too big or awkward for storage when not being used, and LED.(not hot or power hungry halogens)

Sounds like you'd be better off with a battery lamp. The ones that attach to powertoool batteries can be OK.

Too bright for close-up use. I use my bike-light on a head-mount.

I bought the same jack and stands combo about 8 months ago, but the deal was "buy the jack at full price (was $49 at the time), and get the stands free".
I'm also a SCA Club member, which means if an item is reduced within 2 weeks of my purchase, I'm credited the difference into my SCA account.
Well wouldn't you know it, the combo changed within those 2 weeks and became a "buy both for $50" (similar to the one presented here). That reduced the price of the jack to $25, which means I was credited $25 from my purchase.

Lol awesome! A bit annoying how the credit only lasts 1 month though.
Although I probably go there more than once a month, it'd be nice to accumulate heaps of credit over a year or so.

That jack has come up a few times, around $20, and always gets comments about how bad and dangerous it is.
