Oh, sorry about that. I thought you were with The Sleepers after reading your comment. Thanks for the response.

        • @cheepwun:

you wouldn't have this attitude if you personally felt the effects of the so-called 'War On Terror'

Listen you. I still have my pass to the WTC, I kept it as memorabilia. I lost friends in that attack, murdered by Islamist shitbags. Don't you effing dare defile the memory of those victims with pathetic conspiracy bullshit. My house in Brooklyn was under the dust and smoke cloud for a fortnight.

If you want to believe batshit crazy theories that's up to you, but don't you dare speak to me about 9/11.

        • @Gershom: mellow out dude, human brains like to problem solve and conspiracy theories are part of that human condition

          pathetic conspiracy bullshit

I suggest you do some research. Spare me the 'defile the memory of those victims' BS line. If finding out the truth about the event is doing that, then live in blind hatred for a made-up enemy even a 6-year-old can see through if they had any interest at all in finding out who perpetrated these crimes (and the crimes going on right now on your tax dollar). All lovely & convenient CIA assets.

Millions dead after the event. Countless resource contracts. Trillions of taxpayer dollars wasted and trillions of pentagon funds 'missing'. And a very brisk arms & drug trade for the world's greatest bullies.

The only pathetic conspiracy bullshit is the official story.

        • @cheepwun:

          Sigh ……. yawn…..

        • @cheepwun: I feel sorry for folks like you. Filled with hate and anger, seeing conspiracy everywhere. Remember the Dalai Lama and the secret of life - be happy and do something useful.

          @Gershom:
I feel sorry for people who don't care enough to look into the truth of what happens around them, and rather spout the BS that the media have fed them, and are apparently proud of their ignorance. Instead of being filled with ignorance, you can be filled with knowledge.

          You can start here:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fvJ8nFa5Qk

But you don't ask questions and instead spout your 'be happy' philosophy, which is just ignorance dressed-up. You don't care enough to investigate because IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER TO YOU. What matters to you is to put others down who have researched the official BS and who challenge your closed mind.

Spend 3 hours watching that well-reserached video if you dare challenge your ignorance. Then talk to me. 9/11 was well-planned in advance. You can also look up an ex-CIA lady called Susan Lindauer. And Architects & Enginneers for 911 truth too. But that would mean you are 'too filled with hate', right?

Better to 'be happy'… in ignorance.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuC_4mGTs98
After all, you don't care what the truth is. And have no reason to care anytime soon, it seems.

          @jackspratt:

          Sigh ……. yawn…..

Yet another person who proudly proclaims their ignorance…with absolutely no desire to take the harder path of researching the truth, whose latest response is about as much as they can fill in their precious heads, basically because they don't care enough to expose the puppetmasters of the 911 theatre: the drug profiteers, the resource vandals & the war scum. Just another person who basically has no concept of history, because we've all been here before in countless other wars and staged events, but apparently it's easier to just accept the official BS and call for the blood of innocents.

          Yawn away, Sir.
After all, you are The Sleeper. Plenty of others you can feel comfortable with doing the same.

@cheepwun: There are two defining features of 9/11 truthers, stupidity and gullibility. Viz Rosie O'Donnell and her famous line about "since when can fire melt steel". I don't know how that cretin thought you make steel beams in the first place, but it was a detail that never troubled her.

Now we have the Honegger cretin in your video saying planes never crashed into things on 9/11. It really is an insult to the victims on those planes, and the murdering shitbags that killed them must be laughing their heads off at the gullibility and utter stupidity of truthers.

You need professional help my man.

        • @Gershom:

Insults-r-us, the biggest ones coming from the biggest ignortants. Nothing new here.

Please find footage of a PLANE hitting the Pentagon. I bet you can't to this day. Certainly odd for one of the most securely monitored places on earth. And I bet you can explain why nearby security cameras from local businesses was confiscated too. People survived the Pentagon attack. And they are telling you it was a fraud. Yet you discount it. I bet you can also explain why drills of 911 were taking place exactly for the scenario that really played out in real life, going some way to explaining how all the forces were 'elsewhere' at the time.

WTC 7 building come down at frefall speeds & caught on fire despite a plane not hitting it. I'm waiting for your answer on that one too. The Architects and Enginners for 911 truth certainly have no answer to that one. Or the fact that the security for the towers was handled by a company run by George Bush's brother. Or the fact that some lovely SEC proofs were stored in WTC 7, all conveniently 'lost' in the descruction. And the gold was shipped out. Or the fact that Silverstein profited tremendously on the insurance fraud. Or the fact that dust analysis proves thermite was used to bring the towers down.

911 is a fraud even a 6-year-old can work out. Nobody is diputing that planes hit the 2 towers. They did. What they are disputing is which planes, who was flying, who profited, why they did it (easy to work out) and that lovely WTC7 and Pentagon fraud. Which I'm sure you have perfectly-insulting answers for. Let alone pilot experience, CIA history of key 'terrorists', the 'convenient' deaths of the SEAL team that allegedly killed Osama Bin Laden years after his death and then dumped him in the water (ho, ho, ho), deaths of key 911 witnesses, a fraudulent 911 investigation that would have any thinking person shaking their heads & a mnillion other cover-ups to keep the fraudulent narrative going.

Al Qaeda. ISIS. All CIA assets. As was Saddam. As was Gaddafi. The never-ending wars & never-ending enemies. Look outward instead of inward, where your tax dollars go. Funded, armed & trained by the lovely USA taxpayer (and we love to help the USA here in Oz, we'll go up there and 'defend our freedoms' too). A fraud; just as all these wars are. Making selected individuals filthy rich while the war-mongering corporate media feeds us terrorist lies because they have most to gain from it. But you are too ignorant to know and you simply don't care about the truth. If you did, you'd look into it and have more than BS coming out of your mouth.

Given up so soon? How disappointing (but utterly predictable). Clutching at insults when the brain fails you. Happy Holidays to the countless ignorants 'too busy' to find out what a 6-year old can, busier insulting others who have more knowledge than them, who conveniently ignore:

          • first-hand eyewitness accounts of what happened at the Pentagon, Twin Towers and elsewhere
          • 911 drills that simulated the exact events that were happening (that was just chance I'm sure)
          • ex-CIA insiders who spoke about what they knew way in advance of the event
          • science
          • logic
          • 911 investigation frauds who wrote the 'official' narrative and got paid handsomely for it while ignoring key evidence (and science in general)
          • the long list of dead witnesses who just happened to hold key evidence but who all mysteriously died
          • the requests for truth from surviving victim family members
          • the millions of innocents who died, injured and damaged in the war on terror
          • the animals killed in the war on terror & the destroyed lives
          • securities fraud & the convenient destruction of WTC 7
          • the missing gold from WTC 7
          • trillions of Pentagon funds 'missing'
          • CIA black budgets
          • the drug trade, with key US banks profiting on trillions along with key well-known politicians, past and present, and which has increased several-fold since invasion of Afghanistan
          • 911 insider trading days before the event
          • the destruction & destabilisation of several nations years after the event
          • the countless land-grabs, resource contracts and arms deals since the event
          • the long-suffering taxpayers around the world who have zero choice how their money is spent while their nations go broke. No worries, they'll continue to pay (in blood and money) now and for future generations. All-the-while the muppets will continue to be fed lies about the continually-changing and 'evasive' enemy that we fund with our tax dollars & that is necessary for these colossal profits to continue

Happy Holidays to all ignorants who ignore all evidence, don't feel a thing and talk as if none of these crimes affect them (or will affect them) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltP2t9nq9fI

  • 3 local WA stores have a wealth of cabinet handles, more than 4, and a few interior doors, which I will buy today if they are still there. I walked around all 3 stores yesterday creating projects for myself with what I could see on the shelves. My wife decided changing the interior doors would keep me busy over the Christmas break.

        • I would have thought so too. 20% off was not enough to get me to buy one, especially when BBQ's Galore do 20% off Webers twice a year anyway.

      • Bayswater was the store with the doors. No BBQ stuff Bayswater, Lansdale or Joondlaup

      • There is 20% off at TGG ebay store, where they do they do sell Webers

Masters Penrith, NSW, visited 10 am this morning. Yes, not much left, most of the shop empty, shelves being disassembled, BUT it depends what you need, there are many genuine bargains. "Broken or junk"? maybe a few items are broken, but 99% is good stuff, so check before you buy.

Specifically, what I found (and bought some):
    * a lot of various wood and plastic trimmings, various lengths and profiles. Picture framing materials. Various pieces of wood. All very cheap
    * heavy duty shelving frames: various sizes, packed in original cardboard boxes, so undamaged
    * the only power tools left were various Triton 18V battery powered - I do not particularly like them (have a few): skins only, no batteries
    * various odd tools - how about universal fit snap-off utility knife blades, blister of 10 for 60c?
    * circular larger diameter hole cutters (they are expensive, so real bargain if you need one)
    * various drills, but mainly larger diameter or long bits
    * various odd screws, bolts, nuts (including usually expensive stainless steel and self-tapping masonry screws). Some packaged in trade boxes (50 or 100 bolts in a box)
    * plenty of long electric conduit tubes, various diameter
    * plumbing bits and pieces
    * various tiles (some Italian)
    * paint (odd colours and can sizes)
    * tubes with silicon, glue and fillers (decent range)
    * some bathroom shelves and fittings, only briefly looked at those, as I do not need any

…and so on. I am sure I missed many other things. Many items are in sealed blisters or in original boxes, so hardly a "junk". You just need to spent some time, check, and decide: do I have any use for that in near future?

I also got completely free fabric bags with Masters logo (frame and hang on the wall?).

    • Penrith only opened in January LOL. So I guess they would be one of the stores with the most stock overhang.

  • Was at Northmead 2 weeks ago

Things were everywhere. Go only if you have a whole day spare to find bargain items that maybe useful to you.

  • Will wait until it's "minimum 90% off" (probably the weekend of December 10/11) before going again if they're still closing for good on the 12th. What's left isn't exactly flying off the shelves.

  • Seems to be a fair chunk of chlorine around.

Yes they did, I heard them on the radio.

Whatever JV, more rubbish and misinformation from you. It has always been said that Woolworths will honour warranties and GA Australia are not mentioned anywhere in advertising so it's another fabrication from yourself. The administrators "GA Australia" are only the owners of the stock for the closure, responsibility for warranties of ALL the stock that has been sold since Masters opened including the stock "owned" by GWA is with Woolworths if the manufacturer or importer will not warranty it.

"This process will take several months and the business will continue to trade normally through this period. Woolworths will honour all gift cards, product warranties, returns, and lay-bys and the completion of any contracted home improvement projects such as kitchens, bathrooms and floor coverings."

Please be advised, however, that spare parts and facilities for the repair of certain goods will not be available after Masters stores cease trading on 11 December 2016. Visited Albion Park store tonight. Still a fair bit of stuff if you're doing renovation or yard work.

    • Timber
    • Interior doors
    • Flat pack modular wardrobe bits
    • Planters, irrigation gear
    • Cupboard fixtures (handles/hinges)
    • Bathroom/plumbing stuff
    • Electric edge trimmers / whipper snippers
    • Pipe & fittings (PVC & metal)
    • Light fittings & lamps, globes galore, electrical fittings
    • Oodles of screws, nuts, bolts, threaded rod etc
    • Wallpaper
    • Work gloves, Puma steel cap joggers (small sizes)

I was hoping for some modular shelving for the garage - either from stock, or the shop fittings themselves. No luck there.

    • Still most of this at Albion Park Rail today.

Got some cupboard door handles for 94% off. Still lots available in many styles.

      Closes this weekend I believe.

      • 94%, is there further discounts over the 90% yet
With their initial mark up by 50%
70% off was only just getting started

        • 40% Managers Special after the 90% off.

A few signs saying make an offer on what's left.

  • Not bad if they have what you need.
I saved $2500 off their original price ($1800 off Bunnings current price) buying a significant number of doors this morning. Saved a further $800 on timber.
Now if I was a tradie I'd invoice my customers the full RRP and enjoy a little holiday thanks to Masters!

    Thought i'd post an update:

Morayfield has next to nothing left - it's been that way for quite a few weeks now.

North Lakes as of today has paint (pretty much no white base but plenty of mid, few strong/intense and special colours) but they do not have any black or red tint. So that ruled me out of even getting Antique White USA tinted. They suggested I could take it to a paint store and get it tinted for $5. I'd be very surprised if a paint store would bother to do this for only $5 but I will ask. There were a few Triton drills and tools available. I nearly picked up a drill until I realised that the batteries and chargers were nearly impossible to find online and the battery alone (18v lithium) would cost me $200. If anyone is thinking about going to North Lakes, I wouldn't bother. There is very little left.

Haven't been to Everton Park but will soon.

    • +2

Just been to Everton Park. Not much left, maybe 6 half isles open (till mid depth in the store). Some bath tub, bathroom sinks, misc flat pack bits with no description. No white base paint left, only mid and strong base, or the mid or strong base, minimal no low sheen left, pretty much all gloss.

      Happy hunting.

      Going to miss Masters.

      • Thanks mate - I won't bother going there, thanks for saving me the trip.

North Lakes had quite a lot of light bulbs but hardly any GU10 downlights left. I picked up 5 of the remaining ones and there were a couple left. Heaps of GU5.3 but these are really uncommon.

  • are they still accepting egift cards?

    • Yep :)
Used it today at the Canberra store.

  • anyone been in the tingalpa store recently?

    • i picked up some 3 piece heavy duty raincoats for $4.50, some overalls for $16 and a fair bit of gloss white paint. paint is mostly mid/gloss. other than that is just mainly random bits and pieces.

      • All raincoats size small and a couple of medium probably gone now
Be aware these won't stretch so open and try on in the'fitting room'

  • Some BBQ covers left, seems about the right size to go over small tool chest and roller cabinet, to keep the dust off
Be aware Carrara store opposite dreamworld still not applying full discount to metal paint
60% rather than the full 75%
    Had to argue the point

Picked up the st1500 line trimmer skin only at joondalup masters for under $50. About 7 left at the door.

  • For those who care, Masters Scoresby (Vic) had the following this morning:
    - Few bolts: gal, stainless, and zinc
    - Bosch hole saw for wood/plastic
    - Floor trim
    - Paint (no white)
    - Some 80s looking tiles
    - MDF and pine boards
    - craploads of cupboard handles
    - ceiling manhole framing
    - lots and lots of empty shelves

3/4 of the store was cordoned off, and disassembly was underway. Would love to get my hands on some of the furniture and fittings…

  • Went to Masters Sunbury yesterday evening people have bought the whole bays of stock so they were all sealed and only stock left was in there out door areas which is only small crap from here and there not much at all. Staff said they will close the store by Mid day today. Sad for Masters to go…

    • the 'whole bays of stock' would be display items which were not for sale

  • Just came back from Albion Park. Its all down to about 3 aisles now. Rest of the store is cordoned off. No garden section, no wood, nothing except 3 aisles.

In which I bought some mini foam rollers, 5 litres (5 tins) of bright red garage door paint, two pairs of mens overalls (medium), 3 paper towel holder which you put on the inside of your cupboard doors, 12 packets of bright yellow and red bunting tape (for the kids), 12 chrome cupboard door handles, 4 extra large house numbers all for $31.24 (docket says total saving today = $329).

I asked about the fixtures because I wanted to do up my garage but was told Grays Online had purchased everything instore for online auction.

Theres really not much left. I was shocked at how much had been cleared out. Still some bargains to be had! Good luck!

  • If grays online have taken most stuff where does Metcash fit into all of this?

    • Went to five stores in SEQ, one was shut already, someone made offer on the lot in another and they shood us all out, 3 more and there was nothing really
