Bring a Friend for Free to WWE NXT (New Purchases Only)

100

NXT is the developmental company for WWE, but is now a brand on its own. They have developed some of the big stars that are on RAW and Smackdown now. Many of these stars have been headliners for many independent promotions (including stars from Australia and Japan) and are amazing at what they do, so it's really worth checking out!

  • So this is the "Juniors" of WWE? Not sure if its worth even going. Never watched or followed NXT maybe the event would just be like a local amateur Pro Wrestling event?

    • They have some pretty decent level stars who have come from other promotions or even previously been in WWE.
It's a mixed bag between veterans and kids

    • Yeah, its not "Juniors" as such its just the developmental where they train them in the ways of WWE, but some of these are actually veterans of the industry and haven't been moved up because they want to push NXT as a legitimate 3rd brand (Ie have it as Raw, Smackdown and NXT). e.g. Shinsuke Nakamura was the hottest thing in Japan (the Japanese are very serious about their wrestling) and he is their current champion. NXT stars actually wrestle a much more entertaining style of wrestling then some of the current stars they don't just "spear" someone.

NXT is a shit load better than raw and smackdown.. FAR better wrestling!

    • I've been a fan on pro wrestling for 15 years, and I can tell you the NXT brand is leagues better than the main roster at the moment.

For those of you who don't watch NXT, the wrestler in the ad is called Buddy Murphy; hence "bring your buddy".

    • He is Australian too, used to wrestle locally in Victoria until he got his opportunity to go to WWE

  • *Offer ends Sun 27 Nov 10pm. Offer is restricted to the purchase of 4 tickets plus 4 buddies maximum and is subject to availability.

    • thanks! updated

Cheers dude! Just bought 6 tickets for me and my boiz!

    • good stuff! I bought mine presale :( lol

      • I wish I did. Would have loved ring side. But when I went to buy them, they didn't have enough for 6 of us :( So I just waited until now ha!

  • Offer ends Nov 27th, subject to availability

NXT is not just junior stars, but quite a few of them have been champions elsewhere
in the past eg Daniel Bryan had been ROH champion, but he had to go through NXT to learn the ways of the WWE

    among the current wrestlers
    eg Shinsuke Nakamura in NJPW
    Samoa Joe ROH/ TNA
Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, Eric Young- TNA

"Graduates" of NXT include-Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Rusev, Roman Reigns, Neville, Bo Dallas, Breezango to name a few. Quite a few of them were seasoned wrestlers before arriving to NXT
Among the women Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley

In terms of pure wrestling, the NXT shows are better than Raw/ Smackdown (which focus more on the soap opera factor rather than wrestling)
In fact the 'PPVs' of NXT have rated favourably when compared to WWE of late, with a few exceptions. So mostly we will be seeing future WWE champions

However not every NXT star ends up popular in WWE as the focus is more on the soap opera factor- Bo Dallas, Neville, Fandango etc

Why not check out NXT Takeover Toronto on sunday
and compare it to Survivor Series on Monday, both on the WWE network (if you are not signed up a free trial is available)

Being a wrestling fan for over thirty years I'm actually looking forward to NXT takeover rather than Survivor Series, but yes unless you watch the NXT show weekly, it will be more of an acquired taste :)

I was considering going for the show, but found the costs too much. With the current deal it may actually work out to be 50% off (unless they have hiked prices)

WWE needs to get back to the Attitude Era. Or at least make one of the brands more "adult".

      • hard to do as they now to answer to shareholders

        • I would argue it would be a good thing however. Lots of people no longer follow it due to the "kid friendly" nature of WWE now.

  • Soooo "almost" ringside tickets for $100 a pop? Looks like rows 1 & 2 are only for meet and greet

  • WTF: This performance is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

So much for getting Sydney tickets.

  • OK. They are out of ringside tickets. :(

Boooooooo but then I just saved myself $200.
