    Thanks, another Banggood purchase

  • I'm in…. Handy for trip o/s next year.

  • Some of my devices are not charging from it.
But they charge Ok from Belkin.

  • @ banggood
I stuffed up my order - i.e. accidentally selected payment with credit card, cancelled this so I could pay with PayPal. Anyway, now I can not pay for the original order and when I try to place a new order I get a message saying "the coupon has been used" so no discount will apply.
I tried 'live chat' but they couldn't fix it (actually said coupon could be used 3 times???). Anyway, they said they forwarded the problem to someone else and to try again tomorrow. Just thought I'd ask if you could sort it out form me?

    Nice bargain, thanks OP.
Now, can someone please give this dummy a guide to what it is I've just bought?

    • +3

Instead of having each phone/tablet/camera/whatever charges on USB on it's own power pack, you plug this in and it gives you 5 USB ports for charging.

    • can someone please give this dummy a guide to what it is I've just bought?

FFS… It is a FIVE PORT USB CHARGER.

I highly doubt that anybody would need any form of guide about what that is.

  • I bought this earlier. It doesn't fast charge my Note 4. Have tried different cables as well. Phone fast charges if I connect it to the original Samsung charger.

    • Galaxy Note 4 supports QC 2.0 from memory.

QC 2.0 can run at 9 or 12v. An 80-140% higher voltage allows 80-140% more power transfer. You need a QC 2.0 or QC 3.0 charger.

      • also heats up the battery more and shortens the battery life ….. sales pitch for QC is a quick charge for a flat phone to get you going, if not in a hurry, normal charge overnight will extend the battery life.

        • I'm not sure on the truth of this (I don't believe it's much of a problem?), though it is true a slower charge will always be better if you have the time.

        • @dyl: No one has done a conclusive study to prove that QC shortens battery life yet afaik.

        • @Clear: It does effect things, it's just a matter of how much it effects things. I would assume no real study could be done as factors like recharge cycles, temperature, how often a full discharge/charge is done, etc effect things far more.

        • @dyl: I found Samsung's recent Note 7 study interesting. In that instance, fast charging definitely shortened battery life.

        • @norkle: I'm not sure, some report explosive battery life improvements after using cheap Chinese chargers with their Note 7.

(Rumour is it was caused by a combination of cheap USB chargers alongside failures in the batteries safety features on some units - don't use cheap chargers when a decent 5port unit is $13!)

  • Already bought 2 last time, bought another one, great buy :)

  • Deal on Blitzwolf QC chargers please !

  • bloody OZBargain! just bought another. I cannot resist T_T"… between powerbanks, chargers and ebay %off sales…i'm hella broke LOL

  • Thanks. I haven't use this before, hopefully will work great for my iPhone, Huawei phone and Asus tablet.

I purchased the shipping insurance and delivery with tracking options as stuff get stolen from my mailbox from time to time. Hopefully this will insure against that and if it does go missing I can get it resent quickly.

    • I purchased the shipping insurance and delivery with tracking options as stuff get stolen from my mailbox from time to time. Hopefully this will insure against that

Nope - those doesn't insure against theft.

and if it does go missing I can get it resent quickly.

It will come at the same speed as the first delivery. However it's highly unlikely that you will get it for free.

See, you just paid for the "evidence" that the supplier needs to prove that they delivered your item and also that it arrived safely.

If stuff gets stolen from your mailbox:
      a) put a lock on it.
      b) specify a safe delivery address.

      • Thanks for the advice. It does have a lock but people can reach in and grab envelops if they are positioned such that part of it is sticking out when the postman placed it there.

The delivery with tracking also requires signature so this should prevent theft as they will go to the post shop for me to collect with ID. At least this is the case from my past experience with other senders.

        • -1

The delivery with tracking also requires signature

          Errr…. huh?

Tracking tracks the delivery, shows you where it went.

Signature on Delivery is something completely different. Did you actually pay for that?

        • +1

          @llama:
Yeah I ticked the box with option that says tracking provided and signature needed or something like that for $1.80

  • Thanks Op. Got one. Love these chargers. Great for travel and for when the family lose their original ones. AU cable is nice too.

  • Does anyone know if this support QC 2.0 and 3.0?

    • No. They'll have QC2/QC3 in the title if it supports it. Just standard 5V/2.4A here.

    • Nope.

  • These are really good. I was impressed with how fast they charge. I keep mine in the kitchen and have not experienced the high pitched whining sound but perhaps that is because it is a noisy area.

  • I have one and have been totally happy with it.

Been lucky as I haven't experienced coil whine.

Definitely charges quick - but NOT Qualcomm QuickCharge compatible. It'll just give the max your device asks for (short of quick charge spec)

Haven't had the urge to test amps or voltages as have been quite satisfied with performance.

Also bought it for a full $1 more!

  • Order shipped. Have the white one, charges fairly quickly with my devices.

    Good for traveling as well

  • Thanks OP. I bought one :)

  • thanks op. getting another one. they great on holidays.

  • Guys I was about to buy one but I have some concerns:

-How can a $10 charger have quality circuitry inside? I'm a bit sceptical of the Underwriters Laboratories certification as Chinese made goods often fake certification. Any way to confirm if legit?

-Amazon is selling this at $10 although won't ship to Australia. So I'm guessing this isn't a huge special then?

Did you check out this? Looks at the components and any safety issues.

    • I'm a bit sceptical of the Underwriters Laboratories certification as Chinese made goods often fake certification. Any way to confirm if legit?

Why would you care about that? UL certification only applies to American products.

And there is no way in the world that this is UL Listed / Certified.

      Easy to Search: http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/template/LISEXT/1FRAME/in…

I am assuming that you live in Australia - Power Supplies and Charger are Declared / Prescribed articles that require mandatory safety certification prior to sale.

This charger DOES NOT carry any Australian certification, or safety approval. It is not tested for compliance with Radio Interference standards. It is against the law to offer this charger for sale into Australia, however you can import one if you like.

      • +1

The only reason I was asking about UL certification is that if it indeed passed then it means it is a quality and safe product even if it doesn't mean anything for Australia.

So as you pointed out they are most likely LYING when they claim "UL Certified Safe. Built with industry grade materials and premium circuitry, this product meets the rigorous safety standards of Underwriters Laboratories."

So when a company fakes safety certifications then I'm hesitant to buy even when a tear down shows it is relatively well built!

I searched the UL database in the link you provided and NO BLITZWOLF products at all are certified. Searching for Anker though does come up with their products….

        SOOOOOO..

Buy this Blitzwolf charger that has fake UL certifications from some Chinese company or pay a bit more and get an Anker properly UL certified 40W charger….I know what I'll choose!

If I was paying the price of an Anker, I'd be buying a properly AUSTRALIAN certified charger. You know, that was legal.

  • Great post, thanks OP!

    • edit: guessing it worked for you just then too

  • Seems like it's out of stock

    • I had no problems and ordered after your post.

      • Yeah strange, I emailed them back and got a dispatch email the next day. All good hopefully

  • Can't resist a $12 charger. Chargers are now the new eneloops

  • The guys a few comments above bring up a good point…

Apparently this charger has 'fake' quality certifications - does that mean if the charger was to go up in flames and take the house with it, would that void insurance since the charger is technically "illegal?"

    • Before people go crying fake, none of Anker's current USB Power Adapters show in the UL search link above either. Certification is complicated, and the certification can apply for different situations. In my experience UL certification was always pretty lame anyway, and seemed to be mainly aimed at protecting USA against imports - fat chance nowadays!

  • Does this do away with the need for a voltage converter when plugging in overseas electronics (e.g., will it quickly charge my OnePlus One)?

    • I wouldn't imagine you need any voltage converters for modern day electronic devices these days, most units now come with switch mode power supplies that detect the input voltage being applied look on the side of your original charger you will see something like Operating input votlage 110v-240v. Having said that your one plus one most likely came with a US plug so you just need a travel adaptor to plug into an AU socket and yes this will charge your one plus one or any other USB device

      • Ah. Well any plug except
my official plug connected via a travel adapter charges my phone really slowly. Will this charge it quickly?

        • The OnePlus One has nothing like Qualcomm QuickCharge If using the correct charger and cable, the OnePlus One can charge in about 2 hours. The BlitzWolf USB Power Adapter above can provide the same supply as your OnePlus charger.

        • No it will charge it at the same rate as your original one, just make sure you use the original cable or buy one with a decent power line like 22AWG or less. Cheap cables off ebay cant handle the amps the device pulls hence why it might charge slowly.

  • I just got an email saying they're out of stock at the moment, I said I'd wait for stock, I'm in no hurry.

    • They just cancelled my order due to no stock

  • Cheers OP :)

  • The code seems to be still working. Just ordered two at the discounted price.

    Thanks!

  • Hm wow got my order delivered. It's merely 11 days from placing the order. Not bad shipping time. Strange it is shipped with AusPost as well, thought it's supposed to be coming form oversea.

  • Unlike the last time I ordered these this time they turned up. No humming on the 2 units I have

  • Anyone else not receive it yet?

    • Yep me. I haven't received mine yet either.

My order was shipped on 20th November. I did choose the standard free shipping option so i just have to wait.

      Hopefully it arrives next week.

      • Mine actually just arrived today, so there is still hope.

      • According to the tracking information mine arrived in Australia on the 27th of nov but still hasn't arrived also. Must have been lost…

        • I forgot i also chose tracking with insurance.

I tweeted Australia Post and the told me my parcel arrived in Australia on 1st December and they expected delivery by now. They reckon it has also been lost.

I will wait until next week before emailing Banggood.

        • @Monty1089:

mine arrived yesterday surprisingly. hope yours does too

        • @Advv:

          Mine still hasn't arrived yet.

Given yours has arrived there is still a chance for me :)

        • +1

          @Advv:

          Mine just arrived :)

          I can't believe it :O

Hopefully everyone else received their's as well by now.

        • @Monty1089:

crazy that it's taken so long… apparently the package sat at the aust post delivery centre for more than 2 weeks…

  • Just wanted to let you know that banggood are deleting negative product reviews.

Not related to this specific item but i left a negative review on a blitzwolf micro USB-USB C adaptor and it was deleted. http://www.banggood.com/BlitzWolf-USB-Type-C-to-Micro-USB-Ad…

The adaptor didnt work allow my phone to detect a samsung OTG usb after putting the adaptor onto the micro USB. I also purchased the Huawei and Xiaomi adaptors from banggood which had no problems with this. I contacted banggood and got a reply back from someone apparently from the blitzwolf team and after showing them what was wrong, all i got was sorry, it doesnt work for that and only guaranteed for charging and data transmission

The adaptor also has a very shallow micro USB connection so it leaves a large gap between the micro USB and adaptor and the adaptor is longer than both the huawei and xiaomi adaptors

Cant trust the store if they are going to delete reviews and would have bought another huawei one instead if i had known.

  • Anyone in metro sydney still hasn't got theirs? Mine has tracking but it hasn't registered as reaching Aus yet.

    • Update. Actually arrived on 20th lol. The Tracking online is useless as it still shows as not arriving in Aus yet lol. Good thing I checked with Aus post as they also did not leave a card.

I was almost gonna to quit banggood as I did not receive goods from them last few times. This was the final straw. Not a big deal as they were cheap items but it becomes tiresome after a while. At least their customer service is friendly and willing to refund stuff very quickly.

  • Unbelievable, I still haven't received it.

    • Have you emailed them? They are usually good with refunds

      • No not yet, it kinda looks like i'm alone on this one. I didn't even get any tracking info

        • I don't think you get tracking for standard delivery. I paid a few bucks more to get that option. But trust me it's practically useless.

        • You're not alone. I still haven't received mine either here in Melbourne.

        • @insty:

Haven't received mine either and I'm from Melbourne too.

    • still better than Uniqlo, they forgot my oder which I placed on Black Friday sale.

  • Nice deal, will you do it again recently? @banggood
