Great price OP, love Blitzwolf products!

    • +3

100% Agree with this post. I have one on my desk at work. Its fantastic.

  • Great thanks OP, already have 1 have been waiting for another deal.

  • +21

Agree. Great price. For new buyers, be aware that a lot of these have a high pitch whine that is audible in a quiet room such as a bedroom at night. I know because mine does it and I've seen numerous others say the same. I replaced mine with a tronsmart for beside the bed and use the blitzwolf when I travel.

    • +2

      Yep. Mine whines.

      • +1

Yep, mine has coil whine too.

Also, it will never charge at 2.1A only 1A on all outputs.

        • Also, it will never charge at 2.1A only 1A on all outputs.

2.1A as in an Apple product?

    • +1

      Same. my white charger whine.

    • +98

Weird… in my case the whining mostly come from the other side of the bed where the missus is.

      • +8

Weird… in my case the whining mostly come from the other side of the bed where the missus is.

Have you tried plugging the offending orifice?

        • +23

I always get the "Socket is incompatible with your device" warning - might need to get myself a converter.

        • +1

          @kevinMario: ha gold!

        • @Dan83: ;D

        • +2

@kevinMario: You need to be careful with that - it can damage your dongle. I recommend installing Flowers 2016 before trying again.

        • +1

@morini: it's fine, I have extended warranty for the dongle - just like a true ozB

      • +2

mine whines when one plugged in, but much quieter when plugged another in

        • +6

Um, you talking about your missus or this charger?

        • Now I'm so confused

      • +7

Careful with that comment. You're not allowed to have a sense of humour involving women any more. There's always some a-hole who will be offended and lobby to change the law

      • +1

Having you tried turning it off and on again?

      • +2

        Have you tried hitting it?

    • +1

Thanks, I'll never touch one of these. That noise from poor quality switch mode transformers is terrible.

    • Bought one of these and they do whine but luckily for mine which is the white color model, I can only hear it when I stick my ear next when I want to hear the whine. I have this in my bedroom charging my phone away and numerous power banks overnight with no issue at all. As bigrizz said yours may differ.

    • I got the Maha MH-C9000 AAA/AA battery charger, it was expensive and highly rated, and it makes that whine sound when it's plugged into mains and no battery is inserted. It's a terrible sound and keeps me up at night if I don't unplug it.

  • Will this fast charge a HTC 10? Is this QC 3.0 compatible?

    • -3

No it only charges phones and tablets.

      • +4

Wut? He asked about quick/fast charging on a phone…

This charges many other things besides phones and tablets too.

    • +1

@banggood OP can you offer a good deal on one of your QC2 or 3 multiport chargers? I have a BlitzWolf QC2.0 Battery Pack, and QC2.0 Car Adapter, would love one of the multi-port AC adapters with QC. Do they include Australian compatible power plugs (no adapters)

    • NO it will not "fast charge" anything

      and

NO it is not QC 3.0 compatible.

If it had either of these features, don't you reckon the manufacturer would have mentioned it?

This is a standard 5 Volt charger, 2A per port.

  • +2

Beware I think this is not qc 2 or qc 3. Just marketing tricks saying fast yes faster than 5 years ago technology but not as fast as qc 2.0

    • +2

It's not tricks ……it appears as a charger rather than pc usb port so charges at 2.1 or 2.4 Amps ……….doesn't claim to be QC and QC needs qc device so no iPhone, iPad or older phones.

    • Beware I think this is not qc 2 or qc 3

      Of course not.

      Just marketing tricks saying fast

No, it's just that you are reading things into the wording that aren't there. Plus you are not understanding the purpose of the control chips that manipulate the voltages on the Data lines of the USB port.

yes faster than 5 years ago technology but not as fast as qc 2.0

QC 2.0 charger is only faster if the phone (or whatever) also has Qualcomm Quick Charge. Despite what you might think, the vast majority of devices DO NOT have this kind of "technology" that you seem so excited about.

Since it's a non-compliant proprietary protocol it is most likely that QC will go the way of the Dodo since the USB Power Delivery specification is the industry standard method for increasing voltage on charging ports to increase power.

Anyway, this is a standard 5 Volt 2 Amp per port USB charger. For standard USB-compliant devices.

  • I've got this model in white. Did not experience any coil whine, whisper quiet, normally charge between 2-3 items. Feels somewhat warmish when 3 products charge. It's not QC…

  • I have a couple of these and they are great mine came with AU cable rather than travel adapter which saves the $5 to buy an AU cable …..

  • Hi, just wondering how you add the discount code to the item?

    • Add it when you checkout, there should be a coupon code section on the right.

  • I have this but i dunno, the Samsung fast charger in the box is faster than this piece of crap

    • Because Samsung have been using Quick Charge the last couple of years. You need a quickcharge charger - the BlitzWolf QC chargers have green or orange ports to help identify QC.

      • hard to know how long QC will be the "in thing" as USB C is even faster and becoming available on more devices …. I haven't seen a lap top that will QC charge a phone but I have seem many laptops that will USB C charge a phone.

        • Quick Charge 4 is compliant with USB Type-C and USB PD specifications. I don't think QC will be dying any time soon.

        • @Clear:

Quick Charge 4(qualcomm.com) will finally be compliant with USB Type-C and USB PD specifications

There - I fixed that for you.

I just read the press release, and it sounds to me like Qualcomm is simply turning QC into USB PD. By incorporating them together in the Processor, they actually get a decent solution…

          a) Backwards compatible with the defunct QC 2.0 and QC 3.0 chargers that are already in the wild.

          b) Forwards compatible with the industry standard USB PD standard that QC has traditionally not been compliant with.

  • +2

I haven't been super happy with mine after using a USB voltage/amp meter where I found they jump around on the voltage a fair bit and push fewer amps than other 2amp 5v USB chargers I have.

YMMV, but I stick to something that has tighter voltage control and can push the amps they advertise when it comes to charging expensive devices, and use this only as a spare or as a travel charger.

    • +1

it's not that the charger pushes, the device pulls, the device determines how much it wants to draw based on the charging design profile developed by the engineer, if it was "pushing" some devices could overheat, so device controls charge current, charger just supplies up to maximum rate if the devices draws it. You also need a good cable as that is where the biggest voltage drop occurs.

      • +1

I tested it against other chargers that preformed better.

That's why I bought the meter after all.

    • I haven't been super happy with mine after using a USB voltage/amp meter where I found they jump around on the voltage a fair bit and push fewer amps than other 2amp 5v USB chargers I have.

My own tests show the complete opposite. This highly regarded USB Tester" also found the opposite to what you say:

      http://lygte-info.dk/review/USBpower%20BlitzWolf%2040W%205%2…

You can pull over 3.5A off a single port. Voltage drop of about 0.25V due to the port connections, which is damn impressive.

Ganging all 5 ports together shows that the device itself can put out 9A and drops from about 5.2V to 5.0V under full load.

Sounds like yours is faulty or a fake, or your "power meter" is telling you lies.

  • Bought a few last time. These are overall I found them quite good, but they do produce a very soft hum (I can hear it held to my ears). You also need decent cables. With bad cables I'm lucky to maintain charge.

I do seem to get a hum out of a $40 bluetooth speaker bought at Parklea Markets if it's plugged in, as it is unshielded. I get some hum but less so out of a standalone LG or Samsung phone charger. I think that's the speakers.

  • I bought this as well from a previous deal. They charge fast as long as you have good cables.

    • Recommendations?

      • +1
        • +1

Yes I got a couple of those.

      • +1

Personally I believe your best bet is sticking with the cord your phone comes with if you still have it - as long as it's not a cheap phone, that'll work.

Otherwise, blitzwolf is good though very stiff, thinner cords. They work damn well (hold voltage and support quite high amps), but the stiffness is annoying. I ended up with Tronsmart cords which are almost as thick as a 10a power cord… They're a little more flexible, though 2 of the 5 I purchased had problems. (One data wasn't working after ~3months of use, the other nothing was working). Overall, all are basically hit and miss these days….

  • +1

Finally. Every time one of these deals comes up the AU plug always sells out before I can order. Cheers rep.

  • Great deal have the exact same one and it's flawless charging my iPad iPhone android Bose qc35 battery pack etc… and all simultaneously

  • My favourite thing to buy - you can never have enough of these for sure.

sometimes emmits a whine - not sure what it's related to at this stage. It definitely doesn't occur all the time.

That said, would love the QC3 one…

  • +3

hi OP possible to get a deal one this one? http://www.banggood.com/Qualcomm-Certified-BlitzWolf-BW-S7-Q…

  • Took the plunge. Hopefully it turns out well, sick of having multiple charging packs.

  • Comes up as $18.99 US for me? can't seem to find where to add the code?

    • Change the currency to AUD at the top of the page.

Add the item to your shopping cart, then key in the Code during checkout prior to making payment. Same process as every other coupon code.

  • +6

Any chance OP can make this blizwolf desk lamp cheaper?
    http://m.banggood.com/BlitzWolf-BW-LT1-Eye-Care-Protection-S…

    • Yeah, I would be interested in a discount on the lamp too!

    • Also keen!

    • Also interested in the BlitzWolf Desklamp. Looks better than the Xiaomi one and about the same price.

    • Looks very cool, interested also!

    • me too

    • yep, im in, please come up with a discount, pretty please

  • It says The coupon has been used! ??

  • +4

Bought one cause Ozbargain told me to

  • Is there any chance to bring this deals back

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/274478

    • code still works if you're fine with waiting for the preorder, comes to AU$13.18 now :)

    • Bought one myself a few minutes ago, code still works for preorder. ETA late December though…

  • Never heard of this brand before - how does it compare to Anker?

After tons of research I outfitted the family with Anker chargers (the 5-port ones) and they're both quiet and don't heat up, basically a perfect experience so far.

But at this price I'm thinking another charger can't hurt as a spare, so maybe I'll get the Blitzwolf as a backup if it does in fact perform well. Does it stay just slightly warm when in use or does it heat up? Someone mentioned noise - would you be able to hear it at night in a perfectly quiet room?

    • Never heard of this brand before - how does it compare to Anker?

      OP link to a review

      Customer Technology Review

      and the Anker one

at the same site. Both are good.

      • Anker is more popular but I have tronsmart, blitzwolf and anker and all are good.

  • I have one of these and it does not exhibit any whining at all. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I upgraded from this to a Tronsmart one with QC2. Unfortunately, the Tronsmart QC port died on me after 2 months, so I'm back to this one as I needed all 5 ports. (Unlucky me on the Tronsmart products…)

Left the Tronsmart one for guests to charge their devices. Will probably look to a Blitzwolf QC one when the come on sale.

    • Hold it up to your ear while it's on and charging.

      • I did when I first got it. No whining at all, same as the Tronsmart one I got

        • I bought 5 of these and they all whine. Perhaps you were lucky. Perhaps power at your house is somehow different (cleaner signal?). Perhaps your upper register is lower than mine.

        • @syousef: or he's deaf

        • @D6C1:

Hearing loss is what I meant when I said "Perhaps your upper register is lower than mine."

You lose the top frequencies as you get older. If the rough test I did on the PC is right I can't hear past around 15.5k. My son can hear all the way to 20k and beyond.

        • @syousef: here you go.. learned something:)

        • @D6C1:

Take a look at the graphs here and be depressed - age vs frequency.
          http://onlinetonegenerator.com/hearingtest-results.html

  • Can anyone please tell me what delivery time to Perth is like? Looks like a good buy for an upcoming OS trip to charge 3 iPads and 2 iPhones with limited power adapters. Only problem is we leave in less than 3 weeks.

    • For the last deal mine arrived unusually quickly - think it came in an auspost satchel in less than 2 weeks.

3 weeks might be pretty tight this time of year.

  • will this charge the new Macbook 12'?

  • very happy with mine in white… very subtle hum sometimes but it doesnt bother me
id buy another if i needed it

  • +1

Got three and only one of them makes a sound (not loud, like I have to put my ear to it)

They work really well. Nice heft to it so it sits on a desk without moving around. Just feels really solid and quality.

I use it to charge my iPad, android tablet, powerbank and phone. Not as fast as my 5X charger but pretty fast - gets warm but not hot with multiple devices.

Great for travelling as you don't have to bring along a bunch of powerbricks.

  • Never understand why these (and all chargers) are advertised as 2.4A? Phones will only draw 1.5A due to the USB Type A spec. Any phone out there that will draw 2.4A?

    • iPad?

    • +2

tablets will draw 2.1 and 2.4 depending on manufacturer.

  • Thanks for the quality deals BG, keep them up!

  • Hi OP you should update and mention voucher only applies for two per transaction. And one time use per account. I wanted to buy several for gifts but won't let me.

Also any good deal on mpow Bluetooth headphones?
    http://m.banggood.com/MPOW-MBH29-Sport-CVC6_0-Voice-Prompt-S…

  • Thanks. Now can anyone recommend a version of this that runs off 12V (for in the car)?

  • Bought only one only because not sure if it will get here before our Christmas holiday. Would have bought more otherwise.

Let's see if it gets here as per order "Expect ship in:Nov.17,2016 - Dec.12,2016"

BTW, does anyone know what is its standby power usage if nothing is plugged in and charging?

NVM - review states 0.1W on standby - though that sounds a bit too low?

    • Priority shipping US$2.94 extra will hopefully get it here on time.

  • +1

will this charge my nokia 3210

    • +4

Yes, for that 1 time every year that your phone needs charging up

  • +1

Never arrived from last deal posted for one of these……
Ended up getting refunded after something like 45 days and only when told to wait longer I cracked it and pushed for a refund.

    • Had the same experience last time also. I did finally get refunded when it never showed up. Going to try again this time and see if this one ever turns up !!
