Bosch Series 8 Dishwasher. I was tossing up between this and one of the cheaper Series 6. Great reviews and very impressive in store. Ended up $1235 shipped to regional NSW (local good guys out of stock on ebay).

  We have the cheaper knobs & buttons version with no display. Works well and pretty quiet.
  I personally don't like the electronic display models on devices that heat up and cool down as part of their operation - too much complexity and chance for things to go wrong.

    I own the series 6 with electronic display. It's a superb unit. Very quiet. The uneven racks tilt the cups to stop water pooling. The cutlery rack does a superb job of holding and cleaning a lot of cutlery. The runners slide in and out smoothly and the racks feel sturdy. There's also two zones. You can put pots and pans in the bottom of the unit if you want.

    If I concentrate, I can hear the unit running. However, with any radio or TVs running near it, you can't hear it. In other words, it's very quiet.

    The led display is not pretty. It also doesn't remember settings (but you might be able to change defaults). I think manual knobs would be fine, but, an easy to see countdown to completion is really handy. You only get this with an LED display.

    If you want a Bosch, it's worth getting the cutlery tray. It's excellent. It gives you much more room.

    If I had to pick a fault, you can't adjust the spacing between bowls/plates. Our breakfast bowls fit the top rack perfectly, but, that's luck as they are highly curved and ornate bowls. The rack pins are close together at the top. However, our big pasta bowls have to be stacked in a clumsy pile on the bottom rack as they won't fit between the pins. The pins are spaced for plates.

      We have a different model. The uneven rack is a PITA. They've made it SO uneven that glasses don't stand up unless they are leaning against something else.

        I believe so. I purchases and my receipt says the full amount to goodguys. So you are correct, the discount is from ebay.
