  • With octa core CPU and 3gb RAM looks like a good deal to me.. Thanks OP.

  • Love the specs!

Its based on an S912 chipset. So, not good for those looking for a dedicated OpenElec/Liberelec box. S905 is still best choice for Openelec/Liberelec (XBMC) builds and is cheaper too.

    • how come?

Well google is your friend but I'll help; Go and check this thread on Kodi forums. Scroll all the way to the end of the first post & read their comments regarding S912 chipset.
Basically they've awarded all S912 boxes a 'D' for 'Do Not Bother'.

  • I would recommend stay away from any box with S912 Amlogic chipset. This if your primary purpose is to use it play local media over network via Kodi/Plex. The android kodi app or even the SPMC fork is buggy as hell. And if you want LibreElec as @crazyleo suggested, you may have to wait longer for a S912 build.

Better lookout for a S905 box. I picked up Beelink GT1 (S912) and instant regrets since then.
