  • thats a fantastic price

  • shipping in title please

  • Very good price for very good versatile lens

  • I love that lens. When I put the OMD away for the night it's the lens that's always left on as I know it will be ready at a pinch.

  • I was literally just looking at purchasing this lens! Thank you!

  • This is a great price for an outstanding lens - I paid $715 from Cambuy in May, and it has been well worth the money.

Have this lens. It's amazing. Now if only Olympus didn't think the E-M1 II was made out of gold

    • I know right!!

    • Yeah, but I guess they invested a lot into it, and as all new products go, they would need to recoup in the early days. Hopefully after a year a price drop will come. But for now, those hand held long exposure shots are amazing.

If only their other pro lenses were similarly discounted!

This is an amazing piece of glass. This is such a good price.

  • does anyone know if you can change tge colour of photos in olympus omd m10 mark II? im a nikon user but thinking of switching to
mirrorless. this is a feature i use a lot in nikon to adjust warmth. i was going to buy sonyA6000 but this feature n/a. i find sony's photos looks too cool pre processed but would be a pain to have to post edit every photo.

What lenses do you recommend for Olympus? can i get away with just one lens? how's the kit lens?

    thanks

    • There are a few colour changing options on the OMD-EM EM10 ii. Kit lens is good for a kit lens. Overall a really good camera. Used it for a month travelling and never thought "I wished it had xxxx." OR "I wish it could…." The biggest downside to the camera is it isn't that good with action shots (pretty well documented in most reviews of the camera).

      • hmmm I take a lot of action shots of my young kids. The colour options is usually preset before you take a photo. Can you adjust after you take the photo in camera? that's so easy with nikon and I love the warm colours.

Thank you and glad you love the Olympus. When comparing Olympus and Sony A6000, I found the controls easier to use and navigate compared to Sony. This is the hardest part when changing cameras as I'm used to nikon and have present all my fav. So easy to use.

But my camera broke and I need a replacement.

    • I only have the EM5 M2 so I can't say about the EM10. But I can answer the 2nd question. As with anything in photography they're always a compromise between size/price/focal length/speed/quality. I'd actually recommend this lens if you only want one lens - this is a great lens with very high quality, but it's HUGE for the small body for the EM10, and you're also paying for weather sealing where EM10 does not have weather sealing.

Whether or not you can get away with one lens depends on what you're shooting and your shooting style.

      • hmm I rarely use long lens but not having the option would also be annoying.

  • Bought it, thanks again!

    • Will pair nicely with my em10ii and three pany primes (14, 20 and 42.5). Now just going to get either the pany or oly small tele zooms.

      • +1

Couldn't you get rid of all your primes now? The 12to40 is bigger but then you almost have all those focal lengths in one.

        • +1

I could, but I like them too much lol. I have been looking at buying a normal zoom for ages, and this one sounds like the best available, but the size and weight has always been a turn off. I figure I will still want my primes for their tiny size and larger aperture, especially at times where either of these points are important (night, street/low profile, portrait etc). But maybe I will use them far less?? Definitely plan to use this lens for landscape photography and day tours when travelling, amongst other times. Excited to test it out! Curious to see if it truly matches the sharpness of my 20, which is razor. Every review gushes about this lens :)

        • +1

@Dan83: it's extremely sharp! good point about the aperture, it does well in low light but 1.8 would be nice!

  • Was thinking this or the 14-150mm II for being lighter, bigger zoom range. Then also have my 12 + 45 f1.8 primes.

  • Thanks got it price matched at JB, and also got another 10% off from vouchers.

    • Hi Squaredonut, how did you get that price match and where did you get your 10% off?
I called them but they refused to do price match for 649… please advise…
      Thanks.

      • I went to my local JBHIFI, asked for price match, showed them the website, they said ok sure. My missus company website can get 10% off JBHIFI cards at anytime, so I got them on the spot online and paid with it.

        • Cool, thanks for letting me know.
Where is your local store by the way?

        • @kishouki:

Local store is Sydney, in NSW

        • @squaredonut:

Thanks. I am in Melbourne tho. Will try my luck tomorrow.

  • Finally got that price matched at Michaels in the CBD plus shipping cost, total 661 while JB can only do it for 760..

  • Expired?
