I tried to buy it and have it delivered, no luck, but when I chose to pick it up from an available store (not my closest) it worked? Seems to be clearing floor stock, in certain stores only. Anyways for this price it's worth a shot I think

Heard these were rubbish? Also, may be another useless item like the Ryobi Band Saw a few months back on here from Bunnings. How many people used that? The quality of it kinda sucks and the spare parts are a pain in the ass to get (e.g. blades)!
350w? 50mm depth?
I've got some rubber bands and a pretty sharp pencil that will outperform it.
It's a re-badged chinese generic. My brother has one that he bought for $80, and yes, it's rubbish. Any hand drill will have more power, and drill about as straight.
yea ditto that. threw mine away it was so useless. couldnt even drill into soft metals with any reliability. absolute junk.
Yes you need at least a 750w motor, this thing just stalls out with anything larger than a 5 mm drill.
It is probably similar to (or the same maker as?) the Bunnings Ozito drill (also 350 watts) - but that is $139.
I just need a light duty bench drill to replace a cheapie that I have had for about 15 years. I know 350 watts won't do much and there might be an issue with accuracy, but for what I want this will do.
Good find OP - and if you use the Aus retailer 10% code you can bring it down to just over $80 pick-up.
For stationary power tools, check on Gumtree. Regularly. You can often get good good tools that someone has inherited but doesn't use or their interest has waned. I got a decent pillar drill (similar to the above, but floor standing and a lot higher quality) for $100 not long back and stuff like that comes up often.
ffs, dont tell people that…. now its gonna be harder to score the big bargains… :)
The same people who got the "bargains" from Masters? I wouldn't worry about them…
my last buy was a $700 tool i was about to buy new anyway and pick it up 2nd hand with a few cosmetic scratches but otherwise perfectly working tool for $150. the one before that was a canopy for the back of my car which they no longer make and usually sell for around $600 which i picked up for $200…
Bought one of these a while back. Ran really rough. The motor bracket isn't designed well, and doesn't sit straight on the newer model (the old model was much better, and what some stores have on display). Because its not straight, the spindle for the belt isn't straight and the belt catches making it run rough. They are almost identical to ozito, ryobi in their bad design. I then got a 550w 'detroit' model from total tools (on sale, $249). It's a cheap Chinese drill, but much better than the super cheap one. My first try at the 'Detroit' blew up on plugging in! Second has probably done around 10 hours, and starting to get a touch of wobble in the drill when extended - need to figure out if its serviceable.
So you've spend ~$100 on the Supercheap drill and another $249 on another chinese drill? - why not just spend the money and get a good quality one to start with?
You know the saying… Poor man pays twice?
Bought one with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/201028 and it is junk, not recommend. I put it to Vinci collection box
Why dispose of your junk in the St. Vinni's collection box? Now they have to dispose of it. Better to put it out for hard rubbish collection… then at least someone who wants it will take it. Worst case, the hard rubbish guys take it for scrap metal and it get's recycled.
Cheapest it has ever been I think
