Just found this on the Whistle out website. Might be useful to some who like to catch up on their favorite shows while travelling to work
Optus' mobile data-free streaming offer now covers all of Australia's major services, thanks to today's addition of Stan. Customers on select post-paid and mobile broadband plans are able to pay an extra $10 a month to stream content through Netflix, Presto and Stan without using their monthly data allowance.
In addition, ABC's iview and Kids iview app are both all usable data-free through the offer. This applies to catch-up content as well as live-streaming of all ABC channels.
Unmetered streaming can be tacked onto any new or existing Optus post-paid mobile or mobile broadband plan for an additional $10 per month. Customers taking up 24 month contracts worth $100 or more per month get data-free streaming included in their plan.
Netflix says that watching an hour of standard content through its service can use as much 1GB of data. Optus bills excess data usage at $10 per gigabyte. As such, paying an extra $10 per month for data-free streaming is a reasonably attractive add-on for subscribers streaming more than an hour of video on the go in a month.
