You do get 3mths of Drama + movies or HD sport (not much use over summer).
If they threw in free calls to landlines & mobiles, it might be enticing.
not much use over summer
ESPN = NFL, NBA, MLB,
Only sport worth watching :)
No topless darts = no deal
- Unlimited calls to standard Australian numbers
- Unlimited texts standard Australian numbers
- All to use in Australia within 7 days <—- would be great if not for this.
- All when you activate on Telstra Pre-Paid Plus™
Especially since we were getting $10 Optus sims at 7/11 a couple of months ago for $1 that give you 7 days and 500MB/day. Okay it's about half the data but on the other hand it's 1/10th of the price.
Just like the Optus ones, $10 is the price on the pack, not necessarily what you might pay.
As these are currently being promoted, expect deals like handed out free yesterday & $5 2 weeks ago @ 7 Eleven. (I got 19 of the Optus ones free a while back.)
Included with Telstra prepaid phones that sell for less than $10 on special.
Plus free WiFi with TelstraAir.
Telstra Air sucks. I agree with everything else you said.
Does the cruise have a $10 pack? If so I might buy 2-3 for the data.
Yeah 7 day expiry kills it lol
Might as well get that kogan sim for half the price
Good deal, but the one with Unlimited Calls a few months ago instead of Foxtel looked better to me (this one has PAYG calls)
The only time i use my home phone is when the Microsoft technical wizard from India calls me….
I got some "Refund Department of Australia" called me, but can only refund into my credit card….
With unlimited calls on all the mobiles in the house there is no point of a landline. Would rather swap landline for a Foxtel package if I could.
I currently am on the $100/500GB+Unlimited locals calls plan and have been for the last 4 years. I think the land line has been used less than 10 times in that period and only to help locate a lost mobile :)
I walked past their offices on George Street, Sydney yesterday and I was given one of these sims for free inside a good canvas bag which also contained a drinks holder, a bouncy ball (why?) and a decent quality ballpoint pen.
Unbelievable. I had to provide photo ID to buy SIM in Woolworths.
You must be handsome mate, the cashier want to check on you and now she got your number.
They'd get it off the starter pack not his ID. Thats unless he's porting.
shefixed
a bouncy ball (why?)
To get you use to things going up and down…like their connections.
Is the broadband bundle NBN or ADSL? Do I need to pay extra $ 15 or so to rent a phone line?
As per the CIS doc:
Your plan is a Bundle which includes:
• a home phone service
• Telstra home broadband for your internet service
• Foxtel from Telstra.Line rental is included and seems to be for ADSL, ADSL2+, Cable, Velocity and NBN

I saw the $10 Telstra Pre-Paid SIM includes 6GB Data at Coles and Kmart as normal price. No sale. This would be good for visitors from overseas with the 7 days expiry date.
As customary, falls markedly short of Vodafone-kogan mobile's bid to suit network hoppers ($5 for ∞/12g or so, opened first). +VF direct can use dataday (<9d) for less, w the equivalent of data, anytime.
And I use Google Play store and carrier billing together, continuing T Freedom P.
Y not abbrv it all m8?
m8 it can w8
can you get this with old Austar dish on roof, or do you need cable in the street?
This is still active, it's available online and I saw some in a supermarket yesterday. Thanks mods for reactivating. No use to me personally because of 7 days but might be good for a visitor or someone desperate for data in the short term.
My account is only showing 1gb. :(
Take it up with Telstra.
I did, looks like I failed to activate it to the "right offer".
After lots of negotiating they fixed it.
That "+Foxtel" plan is pretty useless though; only includes the basic $25 Foxtel "Entertainment" package which includes all the channels you'd never watch. If you want the good drama channels you pay on top of that.
