Lego is about creativity, not sure how simply following instructions challenging, especially when putting together a pre-made kit that does not fit any other way.

especially when putting together a pre-made kit that does not fit any other way

That's where the REAL creativity kicks in!

      ;)

    • Nobody said anything about it being challenging.

      • It says in the description: For Technic fans looking for a real challenge. A retarded challenge no doubt.

Nothing against Lego in general, just not impressed with all the pre-shaped blocks that kill creativity.

I would be impressed if one makes something out of classic blocks.

        • Like this. Kills that overpriced Technic abomination, despite being half the size (1:16) with classic system bricks. I hope Lego approve it.

Technic is the Lego response to Meccano. Framing with it is great but all these flex tubes and weird one-off body panels ruin it for me.

    • Clearly you are lacking creativity then if you can't make it fit together in any other way

      • Then it wouldn't look like a GT3 would it? Well go for it if making a block of junk is your objective.

        • When they designed the GT3, it didn't look like any other car. Does that mean it was a block of junk? Or did it mean it was something new

    • mate you are missing the point. lego has products to suit people's creativity needs. THIS product however celebrates a car, a brand, trying to be exact replica. If you watch videos of this on youtube, you will see it has some amazing mechanical parts inside, it can change gears and wheels spin accordingly. It is also a collectables item. The box itself is an art as it shows porshe carrera's history.

    • looks like someone didn't get lego for their 10th birthday

    • Why are you deciding what Lego is about and then explaining it to people?

    a $400 toy! omg.

  • What the 'usual' price of this?

  • Paid $379.05 for mine with staff discount code. Wether it arrives is another story. $500 RRP

    Looks like a crashed Porsche tbh… :/

  • Anyone purchase the Lepin equivalent of this Porsche lego set?

    • I'd be wary of quality with a set like this that requires such precision. I was recently given the Lepin Ferris wheel. Block-wise they're closer to real LEGO in look than any dodgy ripoffs I've seen before, but I had several slight issues with certain blocks being malformed, plus fitting can vary - for example most of the flowers just fell off the stalks - plus 12 pieces were missing.

But when it's $300-$400 cheaper to go Lepin in the case of the Porsche, I can see how people would be tempted, regardless of potential issues like the above. :\

Lepin? What is this sorcery. Wow…. thanks for letting me know. Super Star Destroyer here I come

      • John Lewis but I think they're out of stock.

  • Back in (low) stock, guys, if you missed the John Lewis and eBay Target deals.
