Bought 4 of those and was informed by staff that they are discontinued stock.

Isn't everything discontinued at masters?
Yup. They going bust!
They've had these and the 600 & 100 White LED versions on clearance on this side of the country for some time, they must have had a large number of them in stock.
What is the difference between warm white & cool white? which is better?
ThanksWarm is yellowish like incandescent. Cool is closer to daylight white colour, so appears brighter.
Thanks a lot
Warm is yellowish like incandescent
It's probably closer to a halogen colour 3000K to 3500K
Cool is closer to daylight white colour, so appears brighter.
In comparison to Warm white, it appears MORE BLUE (it doesn't appear "brighter").
In comparison to which white light? they are all white.
Its still yellow compared to sunlight/daylight.see https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/Planckia…
it doesn't appear "brighter"
Wrong. Cool white lights have higher lumen numbers, which is a measurement of apparent brightness to the human eye.

Good googling! However there is no need to waste time proving your knowledge to me.

Cool white lights do not necessarily have higher lumen numbers. It all depends on the binning of the chips. It also depends on the power too.
Most of the commercial grade white LEDs now days have same rated lumens for 4000K as for 6500K. In our latest models we are actually seeing about 5-10% higher actual output from 4000K than 6500K from the exact same model and priced chips.
which is a measurement of apparent brightness to the human eye
Apparent brightness is measured by Candelas per Square Metre, not Lumens.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. These little bud lights have a rated output of 3/5 of FA of a lumen. They use the cheapest, nastiest, lowest cost LED chips available.
The choice of colour should be made based on what the buyer thinks looks the prettiest.
Apparent brightness is measured by Candelas per Square Metre, not Lumens.
You know more than I thought, but less than you think. Lumen is candela steridians.
Gee wizz. You definitely win!
You are now officially employed as Ozbargain's professional uber-expert of fairy lights!
@llama:
I accept your graceful concession.
What is the difference between warm white & cool white?
One is a warm colour light, one is a cool colour light.
which is better?
The one that you prefer the colour of.
Your question is exactly like asking "What's the difference between a white car and a blue car? Which is better?"
One is a warm colour light, one is a cool colour light.
An accurate answer, but completely useless.
Do you work for Microsoft tech support?
An accurate answer, but completely useless.
Not intended to be useless, I was actually attempting to simplify it LOL.
The question is pretty much superfluous. Think of what colours are "warm" and what colours are "cool" - Would you consider yellow and orange to be cool colours or warm colours?
So, if something was described as "warm white" doesn't the name say it all? I am being dead serious - and I have been in the lighting industry for 35 years now.
Anyway, you already answered about the colours. My comment was more to answer about "which is better".
[replied wrong post]
All sold out at Bayswater and none at Ellenbrook either.
Try Landsdale WA.
Thanks
Masters forestdale had heaps. Were filling up the shelves this morning.
They also have 400 led solar lights for $2.01I heard from staff they are still getting stock in from the warehouses and shipments that were already on order prior to going bust.
The whole store is discontinued stock.
Good price per lumen. Local will have nothing though except empty boxes.
