Everyone, I can confirm after buying a chest of drawers that was normally $99 and had a 40% off sticker.
The actual discount at checkout is 10% off the 40% discount applied. Therefore it isn't 50% but 44%.
So I got the chest of drawers for $53.50 instead of $49.50. I ain't complaining still a great deal.
So say im after something say is $55.25 currently reduced around $65 odd how much will it be? 10% off the $55.25?
Same goes for another item which is $30.51 which is already down from $35 odd will it again be 10% the $30.51?

What you are saying is correct. No all it says on the sign is a further 10% off at checkout. Which technically isn't false advertising because it scans at the e.g. 40% off price and then they take 10% off the scanned price.
Ok do its a further 10% off current price item is so if i see a price on there website currently then its 10% off that just wanted to be sure.

WOW i thought the community was just talking crap about Masters sale. Went to the one at Wantirna FTG Rd and it was terrible.
Comparing prices else where as well the savings are barely worth buying unless you really need it.Wish I saw your post before I got to FTG Rd Masters….it's rubbish….

I just bought a couple of plants,, $6.00 were marked at 15% off paid $4.50 each so effectively straight 25% discount
However lots of hangs that were 40/50% previously are now 15% plus the 10%.. so quite a bit of smoke and mirrors at these stores,, (mirrors are less 40%,, don't think they sell smokes haha)
Do masters have any LED bulbs left in stock or have they all gone quickly in the closing down sale?
i've seen plenty of led bulbs in every masters i've been to. considering, they're often 50% off at woolies, i'd wait a bit

That's odd, I went today, I could stack my Woolworths 5% staff card, the extra 10% plus the reduced item price.
I asked the staff and he confirmed that the extra 10% discount is for fridge too.
I think they are claiming it is 10% off. I had a look at Samsung srf583dls which was $1588 a week ago and is still $1588 now. It had a sticker 15% off, no further discount applies. The fridge was cheaper during the appliance online eBay sale.
@ashley7070: did you ask them to scan the barcode at checkout ? Its an extra 10% off everything.. doesnt matter if a sign (probably outdated) said "no further discounts".

They are not doing these sales to win favor with customers. That ship is well sailed. They now need to clear their stock, preferably with the most margin.
I went in and picked up a few lamps, light fixtures and a tin of paint. Tomorrow I'll buy some tiles. I'm happy with sale prices.

I thought all of them were available in a kit (with battery and charger), and everything except the mower are available in bare skin.
The rapid charger is a separate purchase.
I was looking at the chainsaw, and the box says "battery and charger not included"

Picked up a Honda brushcutter 425L for $452. Not amazing but best price around and was sold out in many places.
Floor skirting was 50%+10% off so to do my house was $1152 but got it for $518.
Was thinking of grabbing a new oven if they had any in stock. I went last week and with a further 10% off the already discounted price I worked out I might be saving between $70 to $160 at most compared to typical online pricing. Seems hardly worth buying a expensive oven especially when they will be closing down and less options to turn too if theres an issue down the track. I did buy Bondall Garage and Factory floor paint, since the regular masters price was already good since its a hard to get product. Reminds me of the DSE sale, where you had to be walking in at the right time to score a good bargain when everything else was just very average.
