I get that these are crap, but how are they meant to work? I mean what is the theory behind the design of these?
Do they simply fill in the clear coat?

They just put a glossy coating over the scratch which rubs off pretty quickly too. The glossy coating also attracts dirt to it …..In short, they are free for a reason, and it isn't because they work well….

Don't waste your time filling in the order.

Clear nail polish is a great alternative for minor scratches. Save that $1.10 by simply asking your wife.
