After missing out on the Apple Watch we wanted from Myer yesterday, we decided to go to the Apple store and was surprised to find them the same price.

Appearances are one thing, but he seems to be a good guy for not buckling to the intimidating weight of the US govt's pressure of installing a backdoor into every iPhone. Lesser CEO's wouldn't care nearly as much for their user's privacy.

But they didn't. The FBI just used a private company to hack the phone. Then three more exploits were revealed last month (CVE-2016-4654, CVE-2016-4655, and CVE-2016-465) which could have been in use for years. Impossible to say what Apple does our does not know about all these backdoors.

Frustratingly they've introduced a Series 1 and Series 2: the Series 1 is the original watch with a better processor, but without the GPS and other upgraded features of the new version.
Pretty sure this is the Original (series 0) watch.

To be honest a Sport will do everything a Stainless Steel will.
I've had the sport for a while now and I really like it.
You can pick up third party bands for next to nothing anyway.
The processor is a bit slow but I haven't tried the new one to see if its any better.

No. Apple watch is only worked with iDevices.
Not a deal the PoGo Plus will only cost $30 or so. That's one expensive poke device.
I don't quite know why we need Apple watch, the functions Apple watch provide can be got from most smart phones.
Sure, most people don't need a smart watch, but they are a great companion to a smart phone.
I was a naysayer for a long time but for $278 bought myself one yesterday from HN (as opposed to buying a FitBit Blaze). Have to say so far I am pretty impressed.
And for what it is worth they were $399 last week and $499 on launch.
Even though they are essentially the first generation smart watch by Apple, they are definitely excellent value for the price.

Jewlery always goes on 50% discount. For real ozBargainers $50 clone can do miracles with many extra features (SIM, SD, camera, radio, universal USB…) & works for 90%+ instead 10% phones.
Personally I only use it for phone calls when mobile too far - as gNote4 has exceptionally good fitness tracking/sensors.

At last pull the trigger on the Apple watch, bought a silver and black with nylon strap :) for myself and sis, not sure which one I will keep for myself though, black is more sleek but the silver hides scuff marks better hm…
