I did think about getting one of these to pull the kids up & down the yard on their bikes/trikes/cars…ATM they're Flintstone & father powered! :)

Bit annoying isnt it. I saw a coffee advertised as "8oz coffee only $2".
Most offroaders generally buy winches from American companies and those are all advertised in pounds. SCA isn't just randomly using pounds, they're working with the industry standard for winch strength.
Good price on the swag.
Great price on the winch, only reason I didn't buy it right away is that I can't find any reviews (or failure rate info) on it and I don't know if I'd trust a no-name brand to work in a critical, potentially expensive or dangerous situation.

4WD SC have a (small) number of stores, phone order & store pickup are possible … and they are cheaper.
They also change their specials (almost daily) and if you are patient (or lucky) the stuff you want is sometimes offered with free shipping.
I've burnt out one of these during a very long mud recovery but I have also burnt out a name brand wahn aswell, the wahn could be repaired the sca one couldn't. Best to buy 2 so you have a backup.
Possibly cheaper on Supercheaps eBay with CSUN20?
