Sign up for Reidcycle and get $10 off via email. Then use it to buy this one https://www.reidcycles.com.au/onguard-mini-x2p-u-lock.html $35. And u pay only $25.
I bought one last year for $15 during sale ($25 + $10 off coupon)

I always forget Reid is selling brand name/quality accessories now..

    • I did sign up.
Enter code BIKE75 at checkout to get $10 OFF "when you spend $75". Excludes sale items. Expires in 7 days.

      • Oh, I didn't know about that,
Most of the time i got $10 off code and it can apply for anything. On January i got 3 codes and bought lot of free stuffs

both these locks use flat keys.

Lex Luther is going to totally Broden this deal….

  • They won't ship the big mofo Abus 8210 to Australia. Must be too heavy.

  • Thanks damion. Picked up the U-lock. Great price!

  • Couldn't pay - got an error saying that the amount submitted to the payment portal (tried both Paypal and credit card) didn't match the amount in the cart.

  • Code also worked with the Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 STD with Bracket, so may apply to all locks. I think I'm still going to buy a OnGuard Brute, from Reid or Cell Bikes though.

Sorry, should have mentioned the SECURE20 code works on all 'security and luggage'

  • Bought one too. Did a bit of research online and this ended up being the cheapest. The Onguard is too small, this appears to be the perfect size. Has any one used a u lock before? Any advice on how to secure your bike together with cable?

    • I've got both products, but I bought them separately years ago.

I've always used the cable lock for either wheels and helmet or a second (much cheaper) bike.

The mini U-lock is a lot easier and lighter to carry, but you will find sometimes it's tricky to get your bike on the right angle to a pole, or bike rack.
I definitely wouldn't want the smaller Onguard model.

    • Have a look at this for advice on how to use the U-lock: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/lock-strategy.html

  • Sturdiest one to have? I assume "new york" series are overcharged based on the name.

  • Btw, Coupon code "TYRE20" is not valid..

  • +2

Code is for ribble? Not applicable to Reid.

  • I want to buy the Mini 7 from ribble, but the discount coupon code DOESNT WORK. Could anybody help?

Is that Reid lock even reliable? I had such a bad experience with Reid bicycles it has turned me off the brand 1000%

    • Probably expired. The original email did say 'final day of winter sale'
The reid lock is from a reputable company.
