    Nevermind, already fixed.

  • +1

    Poor model name. Excitement diminished.

    • Can you get another 500GB SSD for this price?.

      • -1

No. but 500gb for $160 is less exciting than 750gb for $160

  • So does this work or not?

    • Well it's active at the moment.

    • The code had better work… Umart sells it for $183. Not delivered though.

    • -1

It will start in 5 days. I was about to get an Intel 480gb from mwave with my amex offer but this one is a better deal.

      • +3

You can already purchase this. This deal is already active. It's in 5 days that the deal expires.

  • +14

You can get the 850 for $188 at the moment too. I was swayed by the different memory it uses, 3d nand flash.

    • +10

The $188 for the 850 is much better value!

    • Link?

    • +8
      • Why would you do this to us? =P
        (already purchased the $188 one)

      • After you posted this, I stupidly bought one from PC Byte without checking their feedback.
Lots of people leaving negative feedback saying these guys take the money, never ship the item and dont both replying etc. Then you gotta chase up a refund with Paypal etc and wait a month or more etc.
I think I am going to have to go that way. They havent shipped the SSD to me yet and are not responding to my queries.
        Be aware guys.

        • I ordered mine on the 19th. I got a sent notification on the 24th. I expect it will show up after the weekend. If not I'll do some chasing but there's no reason to be concerned yet.

        • @ProggerPete: Showed up today.

        • @ProggerPete:

Glad it turned up for you. I am still waiting for mine.
I am not too overly concerned because I have had good experiences with Paypal when dealing with dodgy sellers.
PC Byte seems to have a pretty bad reputation in regards to advertising and selling items not in stock or drop shipping from other locations and taking a long time to process the sale or a refund.
          Pretty bad overall.

        • @metalhead: Hope you got the goods. =)

I don't think you can apply a code to a group buy? I couldn't see an option and going to the actual futu product page it is $209 before the discount code being applied which brings it to $167.20 after using CHOICE20…

anyone know how to apply CHOICE20 to the group buy deal?

    • +1

You can use the code, here is the direct eBay listing link to make it easier and so you can also add to cart and buy other things.

      Item (1) AU $200.00
      Postage Free
      Vouchers -AU $40.00
      Order total AU $160.00

      • +1

looks like they updated the price, was $209 as I said earlier… good stuff!

  • +5

Don't need this, don't need this. Bought 1.

    • The CHOICE20 code worked fine?

      • -1

I didn't use the code…. Don't think you can use the code for groupbuy deal!

        • so you spent more than you should have is what you're saying? the group buy is $200… you can get it cheaper…

        • +1

@KRiSX: time to hit that refund button and revoke the + :-/

        • +1

Yes you do need the coupon code to get the $160 price. So you purchased it at the $200 price then instead. Good for you ripped yourself off by $40.

        • +1

          @tomleonhart:

As far as i know only the seller can issue a refund or even initiate one. The seller doesn't have to since you accepted the purchase when you hit submit purchase.

        • @hollykryten: I got it cancelled.

        • @tomleonhart:

          That's good.

        • +3

          @hollykryten: and rebought :P

    • Link?

  • Can anyone confirm that you can apply the code to the group buy deal?

    • +2

Confirmed, purchased for $158 after cash rewards.

    • +1

Sorry Ozbargain N00b, what's/how do you get the group buy deal?

  • +1

Got this in the last eBay sale. Computer loads in one second. Love it.

  • Can you get the Samsung 950 Pro M2 anywhere with this deal?

  • I think all sold out.

    • +1

      Only 459 left

      • you are right but I exhausted the 3 times coupon limit. What to do now?

      • Created a new Paypal account, it worked. Just wondering why the same item shows $235 via one link and $200 via another?

  • +3

Suckers, wait until I get my 2Tb SSD from yesterday's deal! :)

    • You should've got an email, pricing error.

      • whoosh

        • -1

When the sarcasms so strong not sure if retarded or sarcasm

    • -1

      You mean this. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/262415

Good luck with that as it's a pricing error and they're cancelling all orders. You're not getting it so best not delude yourself into thinking otherwise.

      • +4

        More whoosh.

  • +1

Great price, needed something to satiate my taste for SSD after yesterdays 2TB disappointment.

  • Not such a great deal compared to the 2tb SSD for $325. I might hold out until 2019 to get 6tb for under $400…

    • +2

The difference is, this deal is actually obtainable.

      • Still not worth negging his comment, I was going to post the same thing about yesterday's 'deal' in the name of fun. Gave you a + hell0 to get you back to even strength.

  • Well I paid $167.20 on Friday, so I'm pissed.

    • i mean… yeah… but… is that $7.20 really going to break the bank? :P

      • +2

That's a dominos pizza mate. He could of had an sad and a pizza.

        • SSD, not sad. Damn auto correct.

  • +1

How does this compare to Sandisk Ultra II?

  • -1

You can get 850 for $153 from Mwave with two Amex card cashback deal

    https://www.mwave.com.au/hdds/solid-state-drives-ssd/samsung…

    • You can get 850 for $153 from Mwave with two Amex card cashback deal

      Translation to English please.

There is no $153 Samsung 850 on the page that you linked to.

The 500Gb 850 EVO is listed at $219 + delivery.

      • Amex has cashback offer for Mwave. $40 back on $100 spend.

        • +1

Well, after a lot of searching I finally found something about what you refer to.

          https://network.americanexpress.com/connect/au/en/doe_offer_…

It's funnuy how everyone here tends to post "you can get $xxx from the Amex Deal" but nobody links to this mythical bonus.

I stopped searching once I found that link, so I never found the Ozbargain thread for it. Obviously I missed it at the time it was posted.

        • @llama: Ya I was referring to that list only.
I would put an order later where I will get it for $153

        • +2

          @jontymate:

Can you please explain how you get it to $153.
          Are you referring to:

          a) Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III SSD MZ-75E500
I see it listed at $219. Less the Amex $40 is: $179

          or:

          b) Samsung 750 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA SSD MZ-750500BW
I see it listed at $195. Less the Amex $40 is: $155

So how do you get $153?

        • @check:

          $219 + $14 delivery = $233

divide into two payments and pay with two amex cards and you will get $40 + $40 back

          $233-$80 = $153

        • @jontymate: You can divide payments online?

        • @eug: No

  • jontymate if referring to use two AMEX cards with split payment method(2 x $40 = $80 AMEX cashback) to get a SSD. This is what I understand from the above statement.

    • So, if you split it across 8 x Amex cards, then they would be paying me to take the SSDs?

      Where do I sign up?

What a load of absolute bollocks. Pay for one item with 2 cards… yeah right, as if any retailer is going to allow that ROFL.

How about we just keep the deals here in the real world, eh?

  • +1

looks good for a second, until you see comparison of speeds to a 850 evo. ppoooooo

    • +1

      Yep.

There is absolutely no reason to get the inferior 750 EVO, when the 850 EVO is usually around the same price.

  • I will never purchase from a retailer that increases price of their products after the introduction of ebay discount codes. These retailers think that customers in today's time and age are foolish enough not to be able to compare before and after sales prices.
