I think this makes it $186.20 at OW before they lower the price.

They may not always lower the price as only "2-day" deal…unless a lot of people ask for price matching.
Personnally would prefer OW to just lower theirs to $196, it takes ages for them to match, check availability & make calls…

Ends this weekend, and today is Sunday… No price match then…

NO. Offer ends Monday 31/5/10 (ie includes Monday.

What I'd like to know is that is it actually $196? Cause I don't want to rock up to OW and look like a fool if it ain't.

That happen a few years back (2007 from memory) with Big W PSP Console special (was a crazy $249 1-day sale, when most stores sold it for $349, $299 on sale.). Oh and another special in early '09. Kodak 10MP camera, RRP $299. They sold it for $198, Dicksmith had it on sale for $99. Wouldn't match it.

I can honestly say I have NEVER SET FOOT back into JB HI FI. I use to love them - spend over $100 every few months on TV DVDs, bought DVD players and a laptop from them.

  • Cheapest atm but still to pricey for me… can't afford it yet ;-)

    • Yeah I'm still waiting for something around the $17x mark. Though for me it's not a matter of $$ so much as principle. Hah!

This seems like a good price but to those who aren't aware, this iPod touch won't fully support iPhone OS 4 when it comes out. Some features like Multitasking won't work. The 32gb and 64gb models, however, are fine as they have faster processors.

But if you don't mind, certainly is a good deal.

I'm still waiting till they make a true "3rd Gen" 8Gb iPod to match the hardware specs of the more powerful 16Gb and 32Gb models :(

      • same

      • Doubt they ever will with September just a little over 3 months away. If Apple have any sense they'd stop ripping us consumers off and make a 4th gen 16GB the base model.

        And 16Gb means only 2GB :P

  • called VIC HN, they said the offer ended yesterday (sunday) :(

    • saw that one coming…

  • just bought 1, hell yea :D good post

  • Just got one from Officeworks (Subiaco, WA) for $188.10 with price match :) Thanks heaps for this post
