Only $0.36 more than the cheapest price we've seen!
Aus stock from our friends @ PC Byte

The two connecters make this very handy, and it also has impressive reads at around 130Mb/s and writes at 40Mb/s

So I'm assuming this does exactly the same thing as a usb3 flash drive with a usb to micro usb adapter attached just in a smaller more compact unit, or does it have some extra feature I'm missing?
Does exactly that, just rather than having the adapter as well, this has the 2 plugs. Not to mention, it has good speeds as well
And really, compared to other USB3 drives, you're barely paying a premium for this form factor
Ok, thought so. It's just that I already have a sandisk extreme, and sometimes use it this way anyway, just thought this might have some extra features I might use. Is the micro usb end usb3?
What I would really like is some sort of usb3 drive that I could connect to other usb3 drives and somehow control and transfer data without the need of a pc or phone physically connected. Sort of like a wireless HDD, but with usb3 connectors and controlled over wireless…. Anything like that out there? :-)
Not that I know of.
I have seen card readers like that in the past, designed for professional photographers (copy data from card onto the hard drive, then put back in camera)
But I think for your scenario you're still going to have to use a medium in the middle
this one is really great in performance, normally on my laptop USB 3 port I get a maximum of 90 Mbps write speed.
i haven't received my OTG drive from the last sale. be wary of this seller
I also had to can my purchase for last sale. This seller consistently sells/ over sells items they don't have in stock. I would avoid. Search the discussion board for more examples from fellow ozb's https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/257856
I want something like this to be permanently plugged into my router. How well would this do.. BTW I will be using my $50 ebay voucher so I'm looking for something close to $50.
Right now I have a 8gb usb2.0 sony
thanks got one.after ebay streamlined the paypal and i didnt got the chance to enter code.asked pcbyte to cancel order and then re ordered one
it is a very handy device with my Android phone.
Down side is very slow transfer rate from the usb to the phone (using Sandisk Ultra)
