They claim to be original, the Armani watch listed above has Manufactures Warranty of 2 Yrs, however I'm not sure about the DW's?

    • +2

No, designed by that famous watchmaker Giorgio Armani himself.
In no way is this a cynical branding exercise preying on the gullible.

      • Huh? From where does this say on the site?

      • Armani Exchange is fully owned by the original Armani brand.
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armani#Armani_Exchange

        • Yes I know it is owned by the Armani Brand, I was referring to @manic comment.

        • @martybt: And I was replying to Manic, not you.

          @Daabido: All good

          @martybt:
          Sorry for the confusion.
I was being ironic - Armani is 82 years old and not designing Chinese-made watches.
The point being "original's or counterfeits" - whats the difference? None are true Armani, just a licensed label at best. Follow nubzy's advice. Or just use your phone, like most people.

@manic: So you're telling me no one should buy brands like Armani Jeans, Armani Exchange, Emporio Armani e.t.c. branded items just because they aren't 'true' Armani? That doesn't even make sense?!

        • @martybt:
People can do what they want. Am just responding to the first post question - none of it is original any more.
If you are ok paying for a name, rather than talent or quality, go ahead.

        • @manic:Alright, whatever suits you man :)

        • Armani Exchange watches are made by the Fossil Group under license. Fossil make watches for Adidas, Emporio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry, DKNY, Diesel and Armani Exchange.

It's just another Fossil fashion watch.

Garbage fashion watches.. cheap quartz junk.. don't waste your money and definitely don't buy into that Daniel Wellington trend. Buy a decent watch like a Seiko, Citizen or Orient.

There is a place for quartz accuracy and a place for the romance of automatics. I own both but don't get bent out of shape one way or the other. I think it is a nice looking watch.

      • +4

Quartz is fine. But these are cheap mass produced Chinese rubbish.

        • Weird I'm the opposite, cheap Chinese quartz is fine, but Swiss quartz watches irk me.

    • +1

I've got a frederique constant and a rado- both saphire crystal swiss watches - but occasionally the fashion watches are nice to wear too!

      • +1

        be me
simple boy, never heard of frederique constant
        google is fren
        "ohhhh is niase lookin!"
        looks at price
        be $55,000
        " oh lawdy!!" alt + f4

My question is, which is the 'fashion' watch; frederique constant or rado?

    • At least the movement is Japanese…that's something. But yeah, this is hardly going to become an heirloom watch!

Some cheap(<$200) citizens are also made in China these days.

Don't expect too much from this 'fashion' watch. It is truly massive at 48mm. It has a mineral crystal which are prone to scratches. This just a branded cheap Chinese watch. It's quartz so at least it will be accurate and not require regular setting. If it's cheaper, I'd just go for Jomashop. Not likely anything will happen to it since it's quartz and also a cheap watch so there is the expectation that the overall finishing will be low. Much better out there at this price point.

  • Wouldn't give you ten dollars for this junk tbh.
