It has been discussed in this thread
No, still $2.
Can someone please confirm I can use this sim for data only in that huawei 4g wifi modem deal posted a few days ago from office works
Yes
Are you sure?? Thought these were for mobile phones ( or tablets with sim/calling ability ) only. Think that's why O.P. put voice sim. Has anyone connected these sims to use in wifi unit ( Optus or unlocked )? If so how? How much data for these $10 sims?
You get 1gb. I have tried myself with the same Huawei unit.
OK, thanks. Do you have to set up sim through live chat online? How long do you get to use that one gb?
Appreciate the help.
Yes if your box isn't locked to say, Telstra.
Limit one per customer just like Coles. Lucky sometimes rules are made to be brocken ( for my local Coles anyway :-)
Coles should be 5 per transaction (as advised by an awesome Coles employee who did multiple transactions rather than taking it as an indicator that it should perhaps be limited to 5 per customer).
I read that in comments a few days ago, but both Coles and Optus prepaid sims/phone are advertised as 1 per customer in this weeks brochure ( not sure if available online ).
Saying that, I got 5 each of the Coles and Optus sims last week, five more Optus ones this morning ( with hopefully many more this week :-).
I got 6 from Macquire Coles in two transactions. The checkout chick said she can only do 5 per transaction.
Sim pack expiry dates?
Probably vary store to store. Order online at own risk.
The 6 got from Coles has Jan 18 expiry.
hmm probably will grab one, just to test if my mobile can get better 4G connection along my commuting train time.
currently with telechoice and i get 4g disconnecting very oftenthis is because my phone doesnt have 700mhz band.
or i should go with vodafone?Doesnt thr train has built in wifi?
i wish! no im in sydney and the train is crappy slow old and smelly
Central has 300 mb a day limit
Limit 1 per customer is not worth the hassle to buy one.
Just try getting five or so first. They can only say no :-)
Anyone able to confirm if this works with premium SMS?
Probably not.
Just wondering if this works with global roaming and what the cheapest data rates are
Probably not.
Woolies had th Se for $1 a few days ago with their half price sale.
Huh?
Oh I see, you don't know what your talking /reading /writing aboutYou might mean $2 sim only for half price @ $1.
Limit 1 per customer depends on the attitude of the person who is serving you.
Correct. Some staff are not even aware or just don't care ( unless you try to get 20 or 50 at once ).
Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with having so many phone numbers/sims registered to your name? I cab imagine some of you with like 50-100
Which plans can be chosen for this $10 pack. Just check the optus websit, $10 plan just for"300M DATA,no international call, 100min nation call, unlimited TXT, THE crucial POINT is 7DAYS EXPIRY". SO equal to 28days, $8, 1.2G DATA, 400min nation-wide call.
they should say it's expired, when in Auburn store, check internet, the web page clear say available in store, but the staff say no, and no sign of them handing, another $10 Optus sim pack still display $10, looks another Strathfield Car Radio deal come back.
This Optus Sim Deal could be very handy if you want Pre-Sale Tickets to Falls Festivals and other so called "Perks" - https://www.optusperks.com.au/competition2
They had these on a big display shelf at Coles in Jimboomba, Queensland for the same price. I opted for the Coles $10 starter pack for $2 instead. Has 10 days expiry so much better imo. Had no problem purchasing ten in one transaction.
This scanned at $10 at Wynyard Officeworks (NSW). How to confirm if the deal has expired?
Still shows as $2 online, they lowered the price from $10 so they don't have to pricebeat Coles. So if it still comes up as $10, show them the Coles catalogue and get them for $1.90 :)
Got 5 x at the Officeworks Coffs Hbr store today. No sign showing any limit per customer, expiry 1 Feb 2017. Pack simply says $10 Sim and $10 prepaid recharge. Nothing to say it is restricted in any way. Just ring 555 or……usual stuff. They had a barcode ticket next to them saying $2, but scanned at $10. . Officer charged them at $2 each when he checked, and docket says Price Overiride incorrect shelf edge label. I pointed out they were advertised at $2 online (we looked in store). He shook his head, and decided he must tell all the staff so they can get them too !
hi, when will this offer stop (when does the price return to $10?
Probably when the Coles deal ends on 6th Sep.
Hi i have two of these expired in Jul 16, i plan to use them end of the month. has anyone tried activated expired sim packs and got them to work?
I went to officeworks, found the items but the guy at the checkout said there was no discount as they were new stock. ggrr
Why didn't you invoke the price match with Coles? Then you would have got it for $1.90.
Got 2 from officeworks preston vic. Expiry 1 Dec 2016.
I activated one of these SIMs yesterday and Optus took the money from my credit card but didn't apply it to my account. I phoned Optus up and they told me it was a bug in their system with new activations and I need to recharge again. I asked about the original transaction and they said it would be refunded to my credit card. It hasn't be refunded yet but it's only just past 24 hours.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Those of you buying multiples. Can you easily transfer your mobile number from one to the next, or do you just get used to having an ever changing phone number?
question - how long does the credit last?
