  • Good price. But I'm not sure if "refurbished stock" constitutes a deal or not.

    • I was thinking the same. Just shy of 2k for a refirb??

    • Ah I see.. sorry guys this was my first attempt at posting any kind of deal. Perhaps this was best suited to a forum thread/post

  • These sell out fast, pascal laptops out in the next few weeks the wait continues…………

How much does is this refurb normally cost ?

    • -1

      $2999 NEW

    • Not much of a deal when you have to buy a second hand laptop and spend another $1959 for the reburb. Ends up costing more than a brand new laptop.

Shit deal, avoid. Only an idiot would pay $1959 for a refurb.

  • 15.6" 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160)

man i find FHD tiny enough as it is to read @ 100% scaling on my 15.6" laptop's screen. a legit question: what is the point of these UHD resolutions on relatively small screens? is it so you can gawk @ 4K content natively even though the pixels will be so physically tiny for it to be that noticeable anyway? i know it is 4 times the resolution over FHD, which i suppose some can argue 4x the sharpness and clarity. on a big screen for sure i can understand, but 15.6"? i really can't see the practicality nor any productivity advances of it.

    • Windows 8 and above supports scaling, meaning everything will look just as large and readable.

These ultra HD are like retina display - you cannot tell the single pixels with bare eyes, and looks extremely clear and easy on eyes.

      • Yeah I know.. I've scaled one to 200% which looks the best but then you run into some programs that don't handle scaling well (steam client for one example). Regardless, if you're gonna scale to 200% which is effectively FHD then my question still stands.

  • I was considering Latitude E7270 and Latitude 7370, and decided to pull the trigger for Latitude 7370.

At $1,039 it's a steal, even considering it's refurb! Retail price is over $4,000 (I know no one would pay that)

    • The prices posted online at RRP are essentially "we don't want consumers".. At work 7370 are purchased in bulk around 50 units @ $1500 each for m7/256gb/1080p..

      • Yup, we used to deal with Dell for our work - even for small orders account managers offered much better price than any online price you can find.

Regardless, Latitude 7370 sounds like a good deal, very similar to XPS 13, and only if m5/7 processors are good enough. For me it is, as I only used laptops for word processing etc, and have desktop for anything else

        • Nice.. Enjoy it =)

I've purchased a couple of refurbished units through Dell and they are still working today. You have to remember most of these are probably DOA returns, where something minor like a failed hard drive or ram stick was causing the problem. There is another tier of product Dell sell below these through Grays, the 'quality failed' units, these are the ones I wouldn't go near.

I currently have the following from Dell Outlet as refurbished units

Dell Venue 8 Pro <- 2 years old still works perfectly.
Dell Insprion 15 (x2) <- 1.5 years old both still working perfectly.
Dell Venue 11 Pro <- 1.5 years old still works perfectly.
Alienware Alpha <- 1 year old and still going strong.
Dell XPS 13 <- less than 3 weeks old.

Not a single one of these units has dead pixels, hard drive issues or any other problem. I'd keep buying through their outlet program again and again.

  • and they're gone

  • How do u know they are gone

  • I have bought a Dell refurbished laptop every 12-18 months for the last 10 years from the UK Dell refurbished site and always soldi them for pretty much the same price as I bought it for. Over there you get them at half price though. My XPS 13 cost $900. Either way, they always look like new and work like new. Plus their warranties are great.

    • Hey carleast, i browsed the uk outlet. Do you travel to uk often? Or do you use forwarder? Is the warranty global?
