  • Any travel-wool suits on sale?

Does anyone know what happens if you buy something worth $600, get the Cashback bonus then return the unused item? Borderline-unethical I know but I wonder if Amex had thought about the possibility of these.

    • I returned something to DJ's months ago which had a $40 amex cashback which I got to keep

    • I wonder if Amex had thought about the possibility of these.

They sure did. Check the T&C of the promotion.

Of course it'll be difficult for them to track the returns … think about all the scenarios - split payments across multiple cards, sales person isn't diligent about refunding on to same card, purchase multiple items and only do a partial return, etc. It's pretty easy for them to hunt down repeat offenders, so do you really want to get on the wrong side of amex?

I also suspect the merchant shares the cost of these promotion, so I'm sure they can track it more accurately than amex alone. I always wondered why they haven't caught up with all the people buying gift cards on these promos…

  • Asking here co I'm getting conflicting information elsewhere.

Does anyone know the return policy for Hugo boss in Australia? Their website is useless and the store lady said they didn't do refunds, only did store credit.

I want to get something as a gift and would like the flexibility to return it.
