    Native Resolution is 480 x 320? Wow.

Back to the good old day of CGA video.

      is it colour?

I'm not even sure why I'm interested… maybe for movie nights while camping?

    • +8

Do you hate your camping mates enough to put them through 480x320?

    • Put it on your head as a shield against drop bears

    • This!! "I'm not even sure why I'm interested…"

      Sigh.

  • Good deal for the price. It would be unrealistic to expect a high resolution.

You can also get a free gift for orders over $5 US. Not sure how good it will be though.

    Great, more landfill.

    Brightness: 80 LM

    <100 lumens => junk

    Power: 30W
    :
can be powered by 5v 2a power banks

    10 < 30 => even dimmer as portable junk

    • +1

Needs to be a customs tech scrutiny department. Only low priced tech that is unlikely to be thrown out after one use makes it through. Anything that is unlikely to last a year is imposed with a landfill duty tax. Because it's going to stay in the local tip for thousands of years.

      • Hopefully, man will eventually figure out how to build worm-holes to blackholes, to dispose of the accumulated junk rotting the planets he's colonised.

        • I'm pretty sure it's sent to Bangladesh for the locals to burn, inhale the toxic fumes, then collect the metals for scrap. :(

  • Yeah really what is the point of these? They're really just junk.

    • Not complete junk. It would be alright for mole people.

  • Did you see the keystone dial?

As if everything else about this projector wasn't funny enough…

  • +1

That 480 x 320 is enough to make this useless. I wouldn't touch anything less than 800x480 (~DVD Quality). Plus, that brightness will be a killer.

  • Perfect device for projecting a Batman logo onto a ceiling… and that's about all ;)

    • +6

Not if you have high ceiling.

Perfect device for projecting a Batman logo onto a ceiling

in the dark, with the curtains closed, in the middle of a solar eclipse.

      • +1

"It's your fault those people died! If only you'd sprung for a spotlight maybe Batman would have seen the signal and saved them! It wasn't bright enough! He missed it!"

Funny review from Amazon.. Veryyyy very low expectations and it was still worst haha!

1.0 out of 5 starsI still bought it thinking it might be fun to have a movie night with my grandkids

I sent this item back within 3 hours of receiving it. I bought it with very, very low expectations after reading many reviews — including the negative ones — and with a clear understanding that it was not intended for anything more than projecting a movie or video game and that it would not project very well in a lighted room. I still bought it thinking it might be fun to have a movie night with my grandkids. I also read that some people had difficulty setting the adjustments. It took about an hour to figure out the adjustments and functions, but I did and was able to project an image on a white wall in a darkened room. Unfortunately, I cannot see any circumstance where I would be able to use this projector for any reason — the projection quality is beyond poor. I appreciate that Amazon very quickly refunded my money, so the one star in this review is for that reason alone.

I've got one, mounted on the head of my bed with the screen at the end, makes it about 60". Brightness in a dark room is perfectly acceptable. I'm not gonna watch any new action masterpieces on it, but it's fine for cartoons or whatever

paid about $70 for it, no regrets

    • +7

mounted on the head of the bed to watch 'whatever'…. ;7)

    • so if other people got the same projector and rubbished it, are you saying their criticism is unreasonable? (not trolling, genuine question)

      • +1

I can absolutely understand people calling it garbage :p but it's a compact working projector for 40 bucks…

  • Good for a HUD in the car?

    • use a cheap android phone, at about a hundredth of the size and power usage

    • too low resolution. - Plus the lens would likely not focus close enough.

  • A GM60 (800*480) for that price would be better but after the novelty wore off it would find little use compared with your 4k tv.

    • And the GM60 seems to be around 1000 lumens

  • Just buy a flashlight and tape some cellophane to the front forgetter effect.
