    Grabbed one at Swanston St. I also went a bit crazy with the free condiments and covered my burrito in extra spicy Chipotle salsa, jalapeños, onions and coriander… My mouth is en fuego 🌋🔥🔥🔥

  • The app worked really well. Ordered from my desk. Walked to GYG. Was the second order called. Was amusing being served before half a dozen other people - who were waiting in the pick up queue.

    App failed on me. verified my mobile on the app, tried to place an order for the free burrito but the loading bar kept going n then it went back to the normal screen. checked my order history but nothing was placed, when tried to reorder the 'sign up burrito' option has gone :( lost a burrito…

        whats worse was that i dragged my sister there who didnt even know about it, so she dled and registered, and hers went through fine! but i refused to pay for mine, so no burrito for me :(

    Looks like doesn't work anymore, can't see that discount option anymore during checkout, but was working yesterday. I think I shouldn't wait till today.

      i just tried after reading your post, just add one buri to your cart then there is a big word special offers then sign up burito you can toggle and walaaaa discounted to ZERO dollar.

      i didnt press checkout.

    • completely free. get a Fajita for $1.50 and it's heaps bigger. If you add guac or extra's it will cost you tho.

    got my second free bie (diff mob and email) - only did it because there was no $5 option.

    Probably would just get the normal burrito bowl next time.

    Got my free one at 5pm today. Very easy, no ID, barcode just order number. So delicious for $0 … for those having issues order like normal and go to payment. There should be a button to hit to activate the free one

  • Worked for me today. Only issue was I was lucky I took a screenshot of the order number/confirmation screen before I closed the app. I was unable to bring it back up when I went to pickup. I saw another person was able to open the app up again and bring up the screen… So maybe some differences per device type?

      I only had to tell them the order number.

      • I didn't even need to show them anything, but if they decided to be strict and I didn't have the screenshot I would have been in strife. I didn't get an email???

    • Yeah, I had this problem too, when a family member navigated away and forgot the order number. They were told to check their email and no problem.

  • What a finicky app. The 'Rewards' box didn't appear on my phone at first (I had to press on blank space to activate it), and it didn't work on my tablet.

    Tried 15 minutes but still cannot login.

  • Couldn't redeem the free burrito (wouldn't show up in the checkout page) even with a registered mobile. Logged out but then couldn't log back in (error 500). So just walked into my local G&G & showed them and they gave me a free burrito. Good guys at G&G

  • I got a free burrito today which is great. However, I received an order confirmation email with my full name on it. When I sign up, I put in my nick name only, where did they get my full name from? Anyone has the same concern?

  • I sign in to my GYG accounts and it has my full name, month/year of birth and postcode there. They are the real information that I used to activate my Telstra sim. I only put in fake ID information when I sign up with GYG.I did not want to give away too much of my personal ID just for a free burrito. Can Telstra give out my personal ID without my consent?

    I've tried a number of stores mentioned here and I still get no such offer.

    • You have to order using the button in the app. THen on the 'checkout' screen there should be a little button you can select to activate the welcome offer.

      • I get nothing at my checkout. Yes my phone is registered.

        • I registered as new user once couple of days ago. got the singup offer button at the checkout. However, I didn't order at the time open. come back the next day to check the app again the signup offer is not there anymore :(

          So perhaps to get your burrito right away after sign up.

        I tried with a new sim card and new number, registers OK but I did not find a discount option to reimburse for a FREE burrito. Has anyone else come across this and have a way out to redeem a free lunch/dinner?

    Guys, one week after claiming my free burrito (which wasn't free because I had some extras), I was looking over my card transactions and I was shocked to find out that the app had charged me 100 times more than it should have. $3 worth of extras for $300. Please do check your transactions if you had any extras that you had to pay for after the discount. All my flatmates had the same issue and we already contacted G&G about it.

        My mates got some Gomex Dollar out of it and the transaction was refunded. I didn't get a response yet. Will update when things get sorted out.

  • I tried PayPal about five times until opted for a $11.50 burrito, so no payment was required.
    The thing is, every time I tried PayPal, I authorised payments on PP website in the GnG iOS app built-in browser. The website said I could review/cancel that authorisation anytime, but I can't see such option in PP. Any hints?

      Login via web, go to Profile/Settings -> Payments -> Pre-approved payments (under Manage Upcoming Payments)

    Had the free burrito for dinner tonight. $11.50 is overpriced, glad I got it free because I wouldn't be paying that much for it. I rather eat banh mi instead.

    The free burito applies a discount of $11.50 so you have to pay extra for some of the $12 ones

  • Can someone please confirm if this $5 offer is only once per day?

    • I don't know if it's once a day. Once a week is plenty for me.
