these sales never are sales
The weekly ones are usually not bringing much. The "private" sales are pretty good, I've always got great prices in Europe with them.
As mentioned by bauser93 it starts on 26 July, I've updated the title.
Starts July 26th so promo prices are not showing yet
A list of all the participating hotels can be found here: https://openadstream-eu1.247realmedia.com/RealMedia/ads/Crea…
Will check back on the 26th, hopefully the one I want is on sale.
Edit: well it is on the PDF listed above.. hopefully a decent discount ;)It is interesting that, for Australia and New Zealand, the sale says "40% off". The words "Up to" are missing. And so, as long as it is a 'participating hotel', then it should be 40% off. Off what price, is the next question!!
It's off the flexible rate. So if you check now have a look at the flexible rate and take 40% off to get the sale price - unless of course they jack up flexible rates before the 26th :)
BTW Accor Plus get an additional 10% off the flexible rate so if you are Accor Plus you are looking at 50% off.
If you plan to use this deal, screen grab the prices for your dates today to know the real saving. They dont blatantly increase the price but there is always some special on, early brid etc. The 40% is off rack rate. Early bird is usually about 30% off rack rate, so really you will save 10% with this deal.
yeah, 10% plus have some flexibility as the early bird is non-refundable and dates not able to be changed etc.
The 'Sale' has started - a hotel that is on the list is basically the same price as before the 'sale'.
In fact it is shown as 1 euro more. The hotel I was looking at is showing 40% off the flexible rate. It was showing at 20% off before ("super advance saver"), so that's another 20% off.
great :)
wish mine was.
I've got no idea what's going on.
I see the prices listed in AUD and click through, then I'm presented with a new price in EUR at a far higher rate than the original AUD listed price.
I've purchased during these specials in the past and never experienced this.
edit - This is for hotels in Queenstown.
The listing for the hotel in Bangkok I want is unchanged from the normal member rate despite showing "PRIVATE SALE: UP TO 40% OFF ON YOUR STAY" and is exactly the same as the Super Advance Saver rate (but that has breakfast included). Wotif has the same price (rounded up to the nearest dollar).
I don't travel enough for points to be important so I'll probably book via Wotif rather than direct.
Another Novotel in Christchurch I was looking at is discounted a lot cheaper than on Wotif though, so looks like the "sale" is very variable and/or date dependent.
The place I am looking at in Bangkok is 1 Euro more than it was last week, and wotif is the same price converted into AUD.
I am looking in December, but it doesn't mention any periods that are excluded.
I agree with other comments about being not much better than normal, but I assume that Accor Plus members should book direct so that you can get free upgrades etc.
Not really on sale….
I did a lot of work yesterday on pricing hotels around UK, and particularly London. In have rechecked 3 or 4 today, and in all cases the Private Sale price has increased by around 20%. That's not on.
Does Jetstar hotel price beat Accor member sales?
Kuta : 58 hotels found.
There are no hotels matching your specific rates and all of your search criteria.
Wot.
