    My shipping notification came yesterday, July 21, but it is for DHL, and the link it gave me to click tells me the item doesnt exist.
    I am in Melbourne if that makes a difference to who they use.

        quite strange, the link in the email from sony took me to the dhl site, which told me the number didnt exist in their system
        So I took the con note number out of the URL from the email and stuck it into the toll site, and sure enough, it works there, my phone should be delivered monday

  Ordered one as well, might have gotten it Thursday already but wasn't home when Toll came.

  I thought I would have gotten a refurbished one but this one is brand new. The listing at EBay seems changed to brand new when I bought it but I didn't notice. Happy days.

  Been for a look out for a small phone for my small needs for a while and seems this is good. Fits well in my flip wallet.

  It did go got when I performed the updates for the phone but otherwise this seems to run well. If the battery life lasts 2 days for me I am happy.

  My first Sony mobile experience, fingers crossed.

  I bought a z1 compact a couple of years ago 2nd hand (off gumtree) and it's great.
  Still going great guns, i wouldn't hesitate getting another sony phone.
  YMMV.

  Anyone else had a DOA white model? I ordered 2 , 1 yellow 1 white, for me and the Mrs. The yellow (hers) seems fine but the white one (brand new) is DOA. camera and video not working and touchscreen not working, plus got HOT and made 'crackly hissing pop' sound while allowing updates via the sony update process.

  Have contacted CS but they're a bit slow to respond and their numbers all transfer to Sony proper who claim no knowledge of the ebay setup!

    My white arrived and has been working fine - doesn't get too hot. I did all the updates before using.

      Thanks. yeah mine could just be a dud, my z1c has been doing ok, it does poop itself every now and then but that just sony phones (and probably android in general) I suppose! still, been waiting almost a week for a 'return envelope' so still stuck with the old one. that said, using it next to the mrs phone, there's not a massive amount in it, makes you wonder who at sony makes decisions on keeping the poor image processing algorithms and small ram!

      the Mrs phone does get, in her words, 'hot' though when in use, could just be she has it in a case?

        My wife also uses it and does not think it is any hotter than the z3c she was using (which still ran hot but does not have a reputation like the z5c). She has been very happy with it so far.
