          kill me pls!

  • i've had a lot of Romoss brand powerbanks from before and I've had enough of them, the 10400 mah only worked for a few weeks and after that, i could only charge one phone from a full powerbank! So disappointed =(

    Xiaomi is much better!

I've had my Sailing 13000mah for a few years now, works fine, able to get 3+ charges off it. Mine was bought from a store in Singapore though.

Apparently there is some difference in quality, and a lot of fakes on the market a few years back when Romoss was popular and Mi didn't have a powerbank. Even now there is a lot of talk about fake Mi powerbanks (seriously why would you fake a cheap product?)

      • Sailing vs Sense

One has Chinese cells, the other has Brand name cells.

        • +1

That is commpletely true, from memory Sailing is meant to have Samsung or LG cells, it is very much you get what you pay for, esp in the pre-Mi days.

Still, the above comment about a 10400mah Sense only lasting for a few weeks sounds pretty suss (ie fake, faulty) or exaggerated.

    • why are people negging my vote?

I got a sense 6 but I'm struggling to think of an occasion where I will use it- in the desert for a month and need to recharge phone 8 times before I make it to a powerpoint? It's so heavy. I think I'll stick to my old, light 4000mAh one.

imagine: in the park hunting pokemon and there are 4 cute girls run out of juice. you will be their hero. kaching!

      • if im in park with 4 cute girls pokemon go will be the last thing on my mind.

        • no. you are a loner for years no luck with girls but now with power bank as weapon you can approach 4 girls that need juices for their mobile phone thanks to pokemon.

        • @eisniwre:

I be weilding a weapon on these cute girls and it ain't a powerbank.

I've had this model for maybe a year and it's still going strong. Don't see a difference between this and the Mi to be honest. Happy with both and recommend either if you see them cheap enough. :-)

    • +2

It has ABS plastic, the mi has a metal casing.

Romoss plastic scratches devices less :)

  • COCKBURN

Ill go play pokemon go now

To take your mind off your problem? :)

My next powerbank has to be a QC2.0 one. Too many Sony / Xiaomi ones that i have….

  • +1

While I'm positively gutted to learn that Harris Technology still exists and hasn't collapsed irretrievably into the depths of bankruptcy where they so desperately deserve to be, I will say that my experience with Romoss power banks has been good. Right now I have a version almost identical to this one except that it has a little numeric LCD display to show the status of the bank rather than those LEDs on the side and it works well, charges a 3000mAh android phone and an ipad to 100% (so it really is a 10,000mAh bank of batteries).

Please buy it from PLE though, don't do anything that might help Harris stay alive!

  • My Romoss Sense 4 (which is genuine) only outputs about 4.8 Volts.

It's extremely stable under load, but the voltage is well down. So my Samsung phone won't pull decent amps from it.

Shits me - I probably will need to open it and tweak the circuit or something. I've bought Xiaomi ever since.
