Unlimited data are only for contract plans and sim. Not month to month.

    • Correct.
You can cancel after 30 days but will have to pay out the other 11 months.

  • Only for the first month then you need to suffer for the rest of the 11 months.

Long time running deal, nothing special.
Also, cancelling within the 30 days on a contract will put a bad flag on your account.

    • Didn't seem to effect me, I cancelled under their network guarantee then signed up again a few months later when I moved house and found Vodafone had better coverage inside the house than telstra.

    • yes confirmed this deal has been around for years. I had an unlimited month when I signed on and went nuts.

      • Was two months to anyone.
Recently changed to 1 month for new connects and 5gb for resigns (in first month)

        • You're right. I was about to post 2x months but stopped myself, thinking I must have been mistaken seeing all the comments here.

I had two month unlimited data workout on my 80 plan. Thought it was a standard offer

Vodafone's primary call centre is in Tasmansia.
      India only handles overflow

      • I have never managed to speak with the Tasmanian call centre. There must be a lot of overflow.

I would say that Sales are in Australia and Technical Support (1st Level and 2nd Level) are in India. This has been consistent every single time I have called. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself.

Telstra does similar (and I would imagine that Optus is no different).

You experience the good customer service when signing up.

        • When I call 1555 as a customer
          I always get
"We are connecting you to your Australian call centre please hold"

Tried again today and got same message.

        • @jimbobaus:

          Maybe you are business customer.

          What number are you dialling?

        • @jimbobaus:

I'll just add that I have never, ever, heard that announcement that you say you receive.

    • Dumb.
