Hi twocsies!
Apologies for the confusion, if buying singular they are $9.90, then the more you buy the cheaper they get. If you buy 50, they come down to $9.70 with free shipping as well. This offer was highlighted as the majority of our customers buy 50 - 99 downlights. Hope this helps!
Can you throw in plug bases as per previous deal?
Hi Madreece,
Good memory! That deal a few months ago was actually at well below cost, which is why it was pulled almost immediately, and a few heads rolled that day :)
These prices are still incredible, if you do a quick Google search you will see no-one is coming close to our $9.90 for a fully certified, IC rated quality downlight from telbix, but these prices are part of a deal from the supplier so they will go up a few dollars each on the 1st.
noob question sorry - my house is currently fitted with halogens and transformers - is it easy for me to replace just the globes with the ones you have or do I have to swap both transformers and globes?
I am thinking that I need to check the type/brand of transformer for you to give me an answer?
also - I'm guessing I'd save a lot of $$ if I change over, because halogens cost $$$ to run?
(yes, I'm a sparky noob, no idea)
Hi sbm888,
There are no noob questions! These come with the lead and plug that plug directly into a 240V socket (see image on website), so depending on your setup you could remove what you have and plug these straight in.
Of course, always best to have the work done by a qualified sparky.wow - thanks, so these plug directly into a 240v without any need for transformers? then I think that'll be easy since each of my current halogens are powered by individual power points.
as for my other question, these LED downlights are much cheaper to run than old halogens that I have (10+ year old)?
Hi sbm888,
Yes the Revos are a great little unit that allow you to plug them directly into your powerpoints.
As for efficiency, LED is better then your 10yr+ halogens, see here for more info: http://www.sustainability.vic.gov.au/services-and-advice/hou…
Do they work with CBUS dimmer units ?
Hi unifex, sorry no cbus support.
How do they go for RFI (Radio frequency interference)
Have they been tested for that?
have you any spectral plots from say 1MHz to 500Mhz showing the RF emissions if any?Hi Oz-dxer!
I don't believe they have been tested for RFI, they are fully certified by the government but from what I can see on the specs and cert docs they don't test for it? Perhaps you can see something I can't, the documents are available on the product page (the link above to the Revos).
Hope this helps!
I'd like to know whether these interfere with WiFi
Hi smoke87,
I don't believe they have been tested for Wifi interference but with over half a million sold there has not been any complaints about wifi? Hope this helps!
I don't believe they have been tested for Wifi interference
Which means that they are illegal to offer for sale.
AND perhaps a substantial penalty for false application of C-Tick or RCM label
And the main breach is the retailer's responsibility, unless you can demonstrate that the supplier mislead you (eg: stated they had approvals yet they falsified them to mislead you)
Tut tut tut.
Nvm, title is fixed. Ignore this post.
