It's almost my default response to questions in emails and instant messages. I think the shrug is the king of all emoticons/emjois!
Wouldn't it be random to receive an A4 sized shrug in the mail? I think so and it would be quite a funny way to respond to someone several days later with this in the post!

The bargain is in that I can send it (and an accompanying message) to anywhere in the world, meaning that I can make my friend in Curaçao smile with an A4 shrug for only $2, where it would normally cost me $2.75 plus envelope via Auspost. Like OP says, “Wouldn't it be random to receive an A4 sized shrug in the mail?” I’m sure my random friend on the other side of the world will be very appreciative of the random gift…

I'm no Sherlock Holmes but one BIG issue. Random friend means you dont know him right?! Which means you wont even know his name or address, so how on earth would you know where address to send to!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As Snoo correctly pointed out, I have no friends, but it would be quite easy to send a random shrug to a random business address (easily found on the internet) in a random country (not that I am condoning sending random stuff to random people). SendShrug.com would have lost 75c per shrug, but I see now that they have jacked up the price to $2.95 to cover this hole in their business model.
As Snoo also correctly pointed out, there are cheaper options out there anyway, so I’m going to bookmark that Indian link so once I find myself a friend (not necessarily from Curaçao), I can make them smile with a random shrug for only 30 cents!
