98Cm won't be enough for taller people for standing, so if taller check max height you need.

980mm is very low for a standing desk for people of average height.

I think the Ikea Skarsta desk is better. $289 normal price and it goes up to a height of 120cm.

"No Mr. Bond, I expect you to stand."

  • Can confirm not suitable for tall people. I have one of these at work. Had to build blocks for it to sit on about 15-18cm high. When I raise the desk up I then have to place the monitors (3 on one stand) onto boxes that raise them up another 15-18cm.

So yeah, it's a pain in the ass but not much trouble. Stand till lunch time then lower and remove the box under monitors.

  • Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago for the same price. Was listed as a clearance item at the time, but it's since been listed in a catalogue as normal price.

Not a bad desk for the price, although if Ikea is an option for people (I'm 4 hours away from the nearest Ikea) I'd probably look at the Skarsta for the extra height.

I haven't spent a huge amount of time working from a standing position yet, but it seems to go high enough for me (I'm ~185cm tall).

Yes, your monitor won't be high enough, but that's the case for a sitting desk too. Very few monitors come with a stand that puts the top of the screen at eye level. I bought a $35 Kogan monitor arm which clamps onto the desk.

  • $35?? I cant find it.
