I just renewed my annual classic care roadside membership for $92.50 for 12 months (im a member so the deal would not have been applicable to me anyway).
It's $60 total for 6 months, if you specifically call the number above.
Not $147.90 - which is the non Promotional price.
Also, never heard about the $92.50 offer. Might be worth asking them, if you REALLY want 12 months.

That's the regular annual fee per vehicle.
Classic care is normally $92.90 per annual plus $55.00 joining fee. So essentially this promotion is $46.45 for 6 months plus $13.55 joining fee. Save $41.45 off join fee. Why don't they just offer an annual fee wavier? That way they will benefit from longer commitment as well.

They have a 40km towing limit in metro areas (as opposed to NRMA's 20km)
They also have a $50.00 taxi ride each time you break down - so you can get where you need to go and don't end up at the towing depot
I used to own a very new, but very unreliable car and these guys still got to me in decent time and knew what they were doing.
Never heard of this mod. If I were to spend money for peace of mind, I would rather give my money to NRMA.
They are actually the group behind a lot of the roadside assistance packages included as part of buying new vehicles. As an insurer (travel, health, assistance etc) Mondial is one of the biggest in the world, but their roadside packages are not that famous in Australia.

Wish this was here this morning. I had to call em out today and wasn't a member. Ended up joining for 3 years with the joining fee waived.
That's not bad at all. They normally charge $159.20 "On Road Join & Go Fee" plus the usual $55.00 joining fee on top of the chosen package. So you saved $214.20 in fees by signing up to 3 years.
For existing NRMA members (i.e. non-road side assist membership), the "On Road Join & Go Fee" is reduced to $64.20 with no additional joining fee.
Just called NRMA to take up this offer.
Customer rep said I need a credit card for upfront payment.
I told her about paying by cash at a branch… she confirmed I have to go to a branch for the entire transaction… she couldn't start the application process on the phone.

Total $147.90
So I assume if you pay the $60 you are considered a member and can renew for the normal annual fee later on?
IE you pay $60 for $101.45 value. Good if you are a newbie I suppose.
