NRMA roadside assist is also cover in other states as well. So if you are in NSW and go interstate or live there whatever.. The cover is still covered. :)

I've just paid for my renewal (hence spotted the special on the site). Sadly I'm a member for many years. Can not enjoy the special.

  • You can also use this offer to buy Premium care without paying the $55 joining fee. Actually, they really pushed the upsell, which was fine by me since I wanted to get the premium case (big road trip planned). Thanks OP!

  • Huh, that's funny. Not so long ago I did a marketing survey asking what would be the biggest incentive for me to join NRMA roadside assistance. This must be the fruit of that research - the insight being that a high initial cost is the biggest barrier to entry.

For those interested, I asked and you can get $50 for 6 months or $90.50 for 12months on the deal where they waive the admin fee.

  • Is this mainly for peace of mind? Is there much value for someone who don't drive much and only for short distance within metro area?

The fee waiver is great value and quite tempting but it's a long term thing, so still trying to justify.

  • Has anyone joined this during the extension period (until 19 July?)

I've left details; may be worthwhile in order to get NRMA Motorserve (vehicle check or servicing) discount for NRMA members. :)
