  • i bought a service package (3 minor and 2 major services) before and bring my car to service at midas near high point shopping centre. they said next time they will not allowe me to bring my own and they ll charge $50 for semi synthetic and $80 for synthetic oil and more if my car is 4WD :(

  • Last time I service the car at Midas, they wanted to change my muffler and suspension.

    • did they need actual replacement?

  • I had my old Mitsubishi Magna serviced at Midas in Sunbury three times and once at Midas Highpoint and had no issues with them. I'd certainly go back.

they will then charge you everything they used in the service for $100+
very bad franchise - similar to 7eleven!
    NO F WAY!

  • Please don't believe this kind of deals, they are just a trap and will make you spend more.

    • I beleive that of Midas but a bargain posted for Beaurepaires a long time ago was not like that, excellent actually.

  • Considering it

In the event that your car requires extra work, this will incur additional costs - you will be contacted and your permission sought before any such works are performed.

  • +1

Do not use Midas Kmart Ultratune & Goodyear Bridgestone Bob Jane. Shame for unscrupulousness.

    • any suggest?

      • I suggest you do it yourself unless it is timing belt or head gasket stuff. Good and honest mechanics are very very hard to find these days.

I have one or two trustworthy one over these year when I can't handle some circumstances.

  • Again, fellow OZ-bargainers beware, do not use any dodgy franchises of automotive workshop like mention above.

Try to do on your own, or find a local private mechanic with experiences and mostly good reviews.
