Linksys EA4500 Dual-Band N900 Router w/ Gbit Ports $55.20 Delivered from eBay / Futu Online

CLICK20

I saw ShoppingExpress dropped the price of their Linksys EA4500 router to $69 last night — lowest so far, and found them selling exactly the same item on eBay (as Futu Online) for the same price delivered + the current 20% off = $55.20 delivered for this 4 year old wireless router.

  • 450Mbps on 2.4Ghz + 450Mbps on 5GHz
  • 4x Gigabit ethernet ports
  • USB port for media

They also dropped the price on Linksys SE4008 WRT 8-Port Gigabit Switch to $67.50 (was $90 now $65 on ShoppingExpress), which makes it $54 delivered. Designed to be "stacked under" the pricy Linksys WRT1900ACS wireless router ($220 delivered from Futu), "the 8-Port Gigabit Switch expands your network while streamlining your WRT system".

  • Don't forget CLICK20?

    • You are right. I did forget…

  • Any reviews for this router ?

    • I don't know a lot about routers, but we've had this one for over a year now, and it has worked faultlessly. Good signal strength and speed, has no issues with having multiple devices connected (Xbox One, two smartphones, one iPad and Chromecast). Prior to this, I had another router that was an absolute dog of a thing when the Xbox One was connected to it. It would reset connection constantly for some reason. This one has been great.

      • I wasn't impressed with its range and wall penetration.. then again I'm comparing it to a device of a completely different league (Tp link Archer d9d9, RRP $200)

This is an ok device for smaller homes and units but not recommend for larger two storey houses.

  • can i setup bandwidth restrictions on this?

  • I like the idea of being able to stack it under a Linksys Router. It just makes it a neat expansion solution.

Too bad TP Link dont make such a solution for the Archer D7.

As for as inexpensive Gigabit switches goes, is this model recommended?

  • +1

OpenWRT not supported for latest version (V3) of this router, which this presumably is:

  • I have the EA6700. Works well enough.

  • I did wonder why it still had "A Division of Cisco" on it, then I saw your comment on it being 4 years old! Makes sense, Cisco sold Linksys to Belkin just over 3 years ago.
