  been using their service for a while. the guy is honest and do the job as requested. At least they re not trying to overcharged you with very simple and unnecessary work that can be done by yourself. The workshop is not too big tho and last time I needed to call them first to make sure there is a service spot available.

        @mikenola:

        If I mention the discount BEFORE THE SERVICE, this guy might take shortcuts.

        Therefore I will mention the discount AFTER THE SERVICE.

        If he doesn't honor it, I will give feedback right in this forum.

        I have also recently attached hidden cameras in my car before a service (ala vigilante ACA/TodayTonight) and found that of 3 mechanics I visited so far in 1.5yrs, all were crooks.

        Fixed price servicing aside, there's always something else to fix and one can never be sure if the prices quoted for them have the 'discount' built into the equation.

        If it's a genuine discount, why insist on being informed of it at the time of booking?

  The prices once 30% off look very reasonable.

  Normally I'm in here bagging on car deals because the labor charges for a half hour of filter, oil and 'looking at hoses' is out of this world. But at 30% off, that's very fair.

  Who's your wholesaler for your 'Synthetic oil'?
  Also, I'm curious how you go about doing a "Driveline oils inspection"?

  If you're not using Castrol oils, sounds like a win.
