The Mamba has a VERY bugged sensor that's even worse than older optical sensors in $30 mice. Razer only use it for marketing purposes. On the other hand, the g900 has the current best sensor on the market. The Mamba tends to be a more marketing based mouse with RGB lighting and gimmicky features while G900 leans more towards the performance side of things.
In summary. this is an easy choice, get the g900.
I have both and I prefer the G900.
Nothing wrong with the Mamba but the G900 just feels a lot better in the hand for me.
Bought this mouse at release, well worth the price. Would do it a thousand times again, this is amazing. I've had no issues with it at all and managed to get the full wired gaming mouse experience from a wireless mouse. Love it!!!
I got this for $169 at MSY not long ago. Good price, I jumped on MSY price as I assumed any eBay sales, stores would jack up their pricing prior to the sale going live. I guess not but would only have saved me $10ish.
Anyway, the mouse has been great, love it to bits. Only down side is my daily driver is a Mac so I had to program most functions on my windows PC, only thing that doesn't work is the windows back and forward functions in the logitech software, it seems that this does not transfer over to the Mac or maybe it the scroll tilt doesn't work on the Mac a the moment? anyway, hope they release the Mac update soon as its a few versions behind windows for their Logitech Gaming Software application.
Hey kunfushun,
Been sort of debating between this and the G502 that's on sale at the moment too.
I've been using a wireless mouse for quite some time and it's working fine but I didn't really like the ergonomics as much cause it catered for left/right (Razer Orochi).
Do you reckon this is the mice you'll be everyday for both gaming and work related activities? Also, if you're a right hander and have used specifically right handed mouses before, do you like the feel of the G900 even if it's ambidextrous?
For those who have this mouse, is it comfortable? I use a palm grip and I am very much a basic bitch and prefer Steelseries mice due to their simple default mouse shape. But the g900 has that bit that dips down and I'm not sure how that would feel. I am looking for a wireless mouse with side buttons so I was considering this, the mamba, or the steelseries sensei wireless. Thoughts?
I think I know what you mean that Logitech mouse looks like a claw grip, I had similiar problem with the Razer Deathadder mouse, narrow with a dip depression. My knuckles and top of my fingers were cramped liked a chinese foot binding, you would have to look for a wide grip design e.g. corsair gaming m65.
Is this Australian stock?
New Zealand, so functionally yes.
Looking for a new mouse, how does this compare to the Razer Mamba? Noob question sorry :(
